i feel like just as Mamamoo is called a "woman group" instead of a "girl group" , Monsta X is called a "man group" instead of a "boy group" , they have this classy, overflowing confidence in them that makes them seem very mature in their songs that separates them from the rest of groups

I think out of all the kpop groups, Monsta X has the best English songs. Their All About Luv album is really amazing. Great reaction by the way, as always ☺️

you calling kyun the main vocalist makes me a proud monbebe because he didn't used to be so comfortable with his singing voice and now he's singing in title tracks

Yeah Monsta X has one of the best rap lines in kpop and Kihyun the one with orange hair in Rush Hour is hands down one of the best 3rd gen vocalists.

Monsta X isn't always aggressive, but they are always powerful. Jooheon wrote Gambler and Rush Hour. He has some solo stuff too which is quite different, you might like that! Jooheon DOES play drums. and Hyungwon is a DJ Some suggestions you might like: Rollercoaster, Newton, Shine Forever. My favorite is Follow, and that whole album is my fav.

I really hesitated to listen to listen Monsta X, but their last two Korean albums are outstanding-English ones too. To me, they are unique in that ALL of them are beautiful vocalists. Kihyun is the power vocalist and many reactors have described him as one of the most versatile vocalists in K-pop. They all certainly have unique timbres. The sheer amount of talent oozing out of Joohoney is astounding. Hope you continue to enjoy them! Warning: if you listen to the song The Dreaming, bring tissues. It’s beautiful.

If you like the less aggressive songs more you might want to check out “Find You” and their other English releases, since I feel like they usually tend to be less aggressive. Monsta X has actually released multiple English albums and all the songs on there are bops (like always), so if you have time for that, you definitely might want to check those out!

You were correct with Kihyun, the aggressive/cute rapper is Jooheon, the really handsome one in gambler is Shownu (he’s enlisted in the army rn), the the pretty one who you thought might be goofy is called Minhyuk and the one who you said had your favorite voice is Hyungwon. Since you’re not into aggressive sounding music,you probably won’t love most of their other titletracks (though I think you might like “jealousy” or “all in”). But I think you’d enjoy their English music, it has a totally different identity than their Korean music. Some of their b-sides that you might like have MVs, like “play it cool”, “find you” or “someone’s someone”. I’m glad you’re going into this group so open minded and not letting that first impression deter you, because while Monsta X are generally known for their noisy and aggressive sound, they actually have a good variety of genres in their discography and I’m sure you’ll find a few more songs you’ll like^^ [edit: fixed a bunch of typos]

I recommend you "Middle of the night", "You can't hold my heart" and "Who do you love" songs, they are amazing. I'm multifandom, but if I have to choose only one grup to hear the rest of my life, it will be Monsta X, beacuase I also love the songs in their albums, especially All about luv, Fatal Love and The dreaming albums. I usually don't like other song that are not title tracks to be honest in other kpop groups. But Monsta X is one of my few exceptions along with Shinee and Seventeen.

Their English albums top every other groups English releases for me !! Side note exctied too as we know my svt ults release is going to be English!!

glad you checked them out! it took them a while to blow up domestically, but they’re really popular in korea now. they’re great performers, kihyun and jooheon are standout vocalists in the industry. also changkyun is so 😍

Also, since you liked "One day" i believe you will like this songs: Nobody else (sexy, but yet amazing vocals), UR (also slow song, and on YT you can find live version and its stunning), The Dreaming (one of the song from their last english album, emotional one), Mercy (dark, desperate song with also amazing vocals). Monsta X is a group full of all arounders and their live vocal sounds even better than recording versions.

Kihyun is the main vocalist and he just released a solo album. You should check out his song Voyager which just came out last month.

Second is Minhyuk 24:20, he's a sub vocalist and lead visual. Kihyun 27:48 main vocalist and god of kpop. He just came out with his solo album Voyager. That was the hyung line. Hyungwon 27:26 sub vocalist, main visual and lead dancer. Joohoney 28:06 main rapper and last I.M 27:11 lead rapper and both sub vocalist honestly. That was our producer/composer/lyricist maknae line. From oldest to youngest. Jooheon produced both Gambler and Rush Hour. I hope you'll check out their english album The Dreaming. So nice to see you check MONSTA X again. MONSTA X is indeed the aggressive group, it's their trademark since debut and it's making them stand out but...they have their soft songs. If you want to see their vocals, probably you should check out : Ride With U, Broken Heart, Mercy, Lost in the Dream and their english song The Dreaming.

Yes they released 2 already. I suggest you check them out for yourself because honestly, not being biased, their English albums are top tier. They're very versatile. I don't think i've seen a more versatile group than them. I don't know what they can't do. I think they can do anything. 🤧

their english albums are my absolute favorites! literally topped my most listened albums every year they’re released, the songs are a lot more chill and vocal centered compared to most of their korean title tracks which are more rap focused (cause theyre like top 3 best raplines in the industry) so you might enjoy them a bit more

Both their English albums, All About Luv & The Dreaming are excellent. Monsta X makes, hands down the best English songs, helped by the fact that they are all pretty good at the language so their pronunciation is on point.

I am so glad you decided to react to them, they are truly a legendary 3rd gen kpop group. Even though during the years they have experimented a lot with different sounds, they are best known as the pioneres of the ‘noise music’ in kpop, pushing a sound during a time when not a lot of people were being receptive to it which is very funny because now it’s the sound that best describes the 4th generation of male kpop groups. Truly ahead of their time and probably the most influential 3rd gen group when it comes to music itself. The ‘agressive’ rap line was also one of the first ones to exist in kpop while now it’s very common as well. Even though the kpop industry itself recognizes their talent and influence, it seems like the kpop fans community doesn’t give them the credit that they truly deserve and that makes me sad because this group is a true gem in kpop that has done a lot for the genre. I hope you find the time to react to their last mini album ‘No Limit’ which also holds Rush Hour, it is an amazing body of work, I feel like you will like it a lot. Their english album ‘The Dreaming’ is also INCREDIBLE ( idk what you meant about the divisive opinions on it, I feel like everybody loved it from what I saw... ). Ok, so the thing you need to know about them is - Monsta X are known as intimidating, sexy, beast idols in the industry, but they are honestly so much more than that. They are the absolute kindest, sweetest, funniest, and incredibly hard working men out there. They are well known for their diverse sound and style, whilst always maintaining that Monsta X flavor throughout... if you're a Monbebe, otherwise everyone has a stereotype that their sound is always loud and hype, because a lot of their Korean title tracks are selected for high impact performance purposes, as that is one of Monsta X's many strengths. The X in their name is the mathematical X - an unknown variable, there to tell us from the get go that they will always experiment with sound and style and not limit themselves sonically or linguistically. They are extremely versatile artists when you dive in past the surface, as their music is incredibly eclectic in style, genre blending and language (Korean, Japanese and English, plus a little splash of Spanish here and there) They can do hard Hip Hop, smooth R&B, soft emotional ballads, cute pop, raging EDM, and EVERYTHING in between. They released their second Full English album The Dreaming on the 10th of December, only a few weeks after releasing their Korean mini album No Limit, which Rush Hour is the title track to (most recent Korean comeback), both albums are incredible and showcase their range. Their English songs have a different vibe to their Korean and Japanese work, and that allows them to never remain stagnant and complacent, they are a 7 year old group that continually improve and expands on their skillset, and broaden their discography (keeping it fresh and exciting for Monbebe) This thirst for freshness and range has shaped them into the incredible all rounders in the industry that they are. At the end of the day THEY are the key factor to their music, the thing that links it all is THEM, THEY are the magical ingredient tying it all together. Monsta X have something for everyone, but so many people sleep on them. I hope that changes one day. I really look forward to seeing how your journey with them evolves!

Honestly the only Kpop group i’m checking lately is them (their music is so my vibe) to me they are soooo unique and extremely talented and the fact that they do their own title songs 🥵 Their title songs are aggressive but this is the part when people should give Monsta X a chance cuz they are known for having the best b sides in Kpop they are like a 💎 that people need to find. My boys. The only boy group I Stan. They are aggressive- Hero, All In, Stuck, Fighter, Dramarama, Jealousy, Shoot Out, Alligator. Fallow and Fantasia are not as aggressive. I still miss Wonho as I will always be OT7, but even with 6 and right now 5 members, for Shownu being in military service, will always be my boys. I know EXO or VIXXcan be kind of aggressive with some tracks, but Monsta X is another level. Though their English tracks are not as aggressive and Find You is not aggressive either. Their newer Korean stuff is still rather aggressive, but not like the early stuff- Rush Hour is probably the one that reminds me most of Classic Monsta X. They now have 2 full English Albums- All About Lov(Who do you Love, Middle of the Night )and The Dreaming. One Day is on The Dreaming. They also did a song with Steve Aoki called Play it cool that has an English version and Korean version. Shoot out was the first I listened to. Then Alligator, Hero, Fighter, Dramarama, Jealousy, All in, Stuck, Rush. I had watched some stuff that had a story out of order when I was first getting into them. Although it only took to Hero and Fighter, so 4 or 5 songs to be hooked and be a Monbebe. I can’t wait to finally be able to see them in May. Their comeback is scheduled for the 11th- the day before my Dreamcatcher girls Apocalypse: Save Us- Maison Comeback. Shoot out, Hero and Fighter are my top 3 and I am never sure which is actually my favorite as those 3 always seem to be switching places. For Gambler, The member that walked into the hotel room at the beginning is Joohoney- one of the rap line. Minhyuk starts off then Hyungwon. Kihyun is the third and main vocalist- vocal king who recently made his solo debut with Voyager. Kihyun has done covers of Beliver and Natural.. he kills anything he sings with his voice. The member that got your attention for how fine he looks is Shownu. IM is the other rapper- My Suit is black, my suit is fresh. Hot as F. Both of my rappers can sing and Joohoney has the singing voice is a freaking Angel.One Day is a beautiful song. Hyungwon was the member with the voice you commented on. Rush Hour- Joohoney has the red mullet. Minhyuk is who you noticed. IM’s rap is totally a diss or that’s how I take it with calling competition a dwarf.. Shownu is my bias, but Kihyun and Minhyuk (and Wonho for older stuff) are my bias wreckers. They are aggressive in style, but the members are adorable, especially Joohoney our honey bee. You Problem let’s them show how quirky they are. You Problem and Rush Hour did not have Shownu. They have been around since May 15, 2015. product of the competition show No Mercy. They released a full english album and many people love it. Actually most people love it cause you can actually understand the lyrics and all are different. Some people just release rumor about them releasing an english album to have fame (but mx themselves say that the album is for monbebe, to connect more to their fans)

their korean title tracks are mostly really powerful and energetic, but their bsides are more on the vocal heavy side and soooo good!!! they also released two english albums already and you should definitely check out their last one 'the dreaming', because i think you would LOVE it! btw no one from the rap line was missing in the last video, they’re just also pretty amazing vocalists, especially jooheon the main rapper. the one who is missing is their leader shownu and yes he’s doing his military service right now. btw mx will have their next comeback in two weeks on april 26th!!!! ❤️

They have released 2 English albums (both received extremely well) and it's pretty much agreed by everyone that they hands down surpass everyone (in KPop) in regards to English songs 👍🏽 What's most impressive about this group is their eclectic discography. They have pulled off such a variety of music and concepts, the only other group I can think of who's managed to produce such a varied discography is Shinee. So its not surprising that these 2 groups are in my top 3 groups lol. I really do hope that you'll react to more of their music, perhaps their English stuff as it seems like you're drawn more towards that? Also a guide may be really helpful to react to 🙂👍🏽

monsta x is a really busy group!! they're constantly releasing mvs and promoting. this is because they have korean, japanese and english songs. when covid wasn't a thing they would go on world tours during the times they weren't promoting an album as well

Normally here for the SVT reactions but Monsta is also one of my fave groups (w/ SHINee who also happens to be kinda friends with svt, more specifically, Key) I love Monsta X, and the members, I’m very fond and ult those 3 groups But my comment is to tell that actually Monbebes and Carats are besties!! lmao since both groups debuted in May 2015 (like one or two weeks apart form each other) they promoted their debuts and rookie songs together and became friends, even Scoups said to Monbebes to be friends with Carats since they are friends little did he know we are already besties And this is additional bc I loveeee them being besties/interactions but the latest one we knew about was Changkyun and Wonwoo going to a musical like 2 months ago supporting Nu’est Baekho and Kihyun calling Woozi on their bday bc the share day, back in November, and SVT being supportive towards Wonho in the AAAwards las December So yes Carats and Monbebes stay winning 💕

Monsta X started as a very aggressive sound with a lot of hiphop influences, but as the years go on they wanted to try different genres because THEY CAN. They have the talent, the vocal range, the performance, the rappers and the charisma to pull off any genre they want. They are famous in SK for their "manly" image and the sound is often referred to as their own "monsta x sound" because despite their fluxuation in genre, they are STILL recognisable as Them. They are also king of b-sides so if you dont like the aggressive sound from their TT's then they have some absolutely beautiful slow/fun b-sides that would surprise you. thank you for reacting to them in such an honest way and giving actually valid commentary, i really enjoyed that :)

ANNND yes everyone that literally listen to their title tracks they think all of their songs are like this hahahahahah but most of their bsides are funky, sweet and even ballads!!! Monsta X isn't one of my top 5 groups (I stan like...everyone) but their English songs are THE BEST. Literally no kpop english tracks are even CLOSE to as good as Monsta X has made. They sound so natural and their enunciation is INCREDIBLE considering only one member is fluent in English. SO good. Best in the industry. I'm kind of bitter how good they are and how overlooked they are.

Hero and Jealousy are my favorite Korean tracks from them closely followed by Fantasia. I also recommend their English stuff, specifically Who Do You Love and Play It Cool

Kind of like these videos Monsta X really do have extreme duality. They're known for there masculine and somewhat aggressive sound, but are the biggest fluffballs off stage. Like I want to protect them lol. Their two rappers form one of the most killer rap lines in Kpop, but those two are also the maknaes. They also are a bit unique in Kpop because they have members with bigger physiques (one of whom left bet is successful and loved solo artist). Ironicly those two most intimidating looking are possibly the biggest fluffballs of them all. Both main rappers and incredible vocalists and most of their vocalists can rap if they need to. Some classic songs I hope you get to check out are "Jealousy" "Fighter" and "Beautiful" Ithink you'd really like "Jealousy!"

Monsta X are such a talented group and Kihyun is one of the best vocalist (should check out his album - Rain is my favourite and also his covers which show his vocals off). You Problem shows their real personalities the most of these MVs. They are adorable goofballs irl. Agressive rapper Jooheon is the one with the biggest duality, both in personality and vocals(because the man has the voice of an angel). The one missing in the last to MVs is our gorgeous leader Shownu, main dancer and lead vocal, who's in the military. My bias for this group is Joohoney, his duality is insane! Along with Kihyun, which you pointed out, him and IM both have solo work out. My favorite for my bias is still his 그댄 행복에 살텐데 cover (guarantee you will love it), just barely over Smoky that makes me cry every time. Your assumptions of the members had me rollin' 🤣 and the one missing was Shownu and you were right about him being in the military. Hi Austin, I'm so glad you decided to give Monsta X another chance. There's a lot to be discovered about this group of talented (and sexy) men (not boys). I too was initially a little perplexed about their harder hitting stuff, but I was at the very beginning of my kpop journey then. Now I LOVE everything they do. From what I know about you from your past reactions, I'm sure you'll enjoy their English releases the best. I have still to listen to the first album, but The Dreaming is amazing (it debuted on Billboard around the 20th place, which isn't bad at all). I listened to it while cooking my Christmas dinner last year and they both were fabulous (album and dinner). Had I listened to Rush Hour, I'd probably have burned it (Eat this! LOL) Gambler is a sophisticated dance track. I love that its sound slow and hard at the same time and it does give them an opportunity to show vocals. Plus, the outfits are insane and they're clearly gorgeous. One Day is too short for me too! I love it. They all speak pretty good English and their enunciation on English tracks is impeccable. Rush Hour shows their stronger side, but vocals are hard hitting there too. The rapline is on a different planet in this group, with Joohoney (author of this and Gambler) and I.M. (Jim 😂, one of my biases) You Problem is really cute. It gave me Bee Gees and Earth, Wind and Fire vibes. Hope you check out more from them, including live performances, because I'm sure you'll appreciate their vocal talent.

Finally! Monsta x is one of my favourite groups. I recommend you to also watch Ride with you, their b sides are the best! If you can, also check kihyun album Voyager, there are only three songs but they sound amazing! In my opinion he is one of the best vocalists in kpop

You Problem and One Day are from their 2nd English album and that whole album is absolutely amazing - considering that you're not so much into aggressive stuff I think you would love that album. Their Korean bsides are really awesome too - I feel like you would like bsides more than title tracks, which are usually more aggressive. As for members - you're right, you pointed out Kihyun who just had his first solo album and he's also the main vocalist of the group. Their leader Shownu - the handsome one you pointed out in Gambler - is indeed in the military right now and he also wasn't in Rush Hour because of that. Both rappers are in You Problem - you recognized the main rapper Jooheon/Joohoney and the other one is the one you said might be a main vocalist hahaha... That's IM/Changkyun. Obviously they can all sing. The one whose voice you really liked is Hyungwon - he's the tallest one, he's also the main visual, a DJ and an actor too. And goofy one in cream jacket is Minhyuk - he's one of the vocalists and he's also a visual and the main MC in the group (although almost all of them are MCs now) and he indeed is goofy haha... That's brief introduction with the names. When it comes to instruments Kihyun plays the piano and Jooheon plays the drums, but they're only acting with the instruments there in You Problem MV. I hope your Monsta X journey will be fun, they're really talented and cute - even if they look aggressive in Korean title tracks hahaha... Recommendations for Korean bsides: Sorry I'm Not Sorry, Secrets, Mercy (both Secrets and Mercy were composed by Hyungwon btw) for start... Oh and Jooheon, Changkyun and Hyungwon are composers in the group. Jooheon composed both Gambler and Rush Hour btw - those are first title tracks composed by a member and looks like from now on he'll be in charge of their title tracks, since in the next album it will be his song too.

To see what they were like with Wonho, I’d say check out their live cover of Versace on the floor. The man you pegged as the main vocalist in You Problem is the lead rapper. The man you pegged as the main visual is indeed Kihyun, the main vocalist. And yes, Shownu is in the military. He was the one you thought was super pretty in Gambler. His vocals are on The Dreaming but he’s not in the videos from it (except One Day). Also yes, Jooheon plays the drums. He plays them live in concerts.
