Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley released a video statement Monday morning in response to the viral video of her arguing with a Webster Police Officer who tried to pull her over for speeding.

    Did you watch the video, the police chief said get a supervisor, and then stepped away from the situation. The supervisor came to calm things down but it was finally the officers choice to only give her the ticket. It was clear though that he was struggling with the decision. She definately got off light because of her position.

    @@alimfuzzy The only person who paid attention and understood what was happening. The cop talked to the chief for a minute then gave her phone back and continued pressing her. Her call to the chief accomplished nothing for her. The cop said he could do a few different things, write the ticket and/or arrest her. He even said to supervisor “At the end of the day, I got discretion, so….” and the LT agreed. I think he decided not to take her in because it wouldn’t be worth the paperwork and the hassle.

    Forget the evading part, I find the phone call more troubling. Shes under the assumption that she can break the law and you should just run her plates and ignore her but assuming you do stop her she believes she can make a phone call and everything goes away. That means there is a chain of corruption in the system. A link of people you can call to make stuff go away. I'm more interested in who is part of this chain than her not stopping immediately. Every number she has on speed dial should be investigated and text messages recovered.

    @@drizzo4669 lol she called the police chief then handed the phone to the cop. Did you pay any attention to what happened after that? The chief ignored her. He told the cop to call a supervisor and removed himself from the situation as he should have. There’s no need to involve the chief in speeding ticket and the chief acted properly. The LT showed up and the cop was allowed to handle the traffic stop as he would with any civilian. It was the cop’s decision to give the ticket and not arrest her. He even discussed it with the LT, the cop said “at the end of the day I have discretion, so….”, meaning it was his choice to whether to arrest her or not.

    @@WingWalker1 refusing to stop your car when a police officer has their lights on while pulling you over is considered evading police enforcement. That is a felony. There's a second felony too, when she calls the head of the police department, she tries to obstruct the police officer's investigation by attempting to put it to a halt. Interfering with a police officer's investigation is called obstruction of justice. It's a felony. She has racked up multiple misdemeanors and felonies.

    Who the hell does she think she is. She was being held accountable for speeding and instead she calls the officer's supervisor. I hate to say it but, her actions on that day showed that she thinks she entitled and doesn't have to answer to the same laws, she prosecutes people for. Her next step should be her resigning, we saw the true person she is in her garage.

    She showed how the entire police department has a policy of not ticketing individuals involved with law enforcement in that town. At the end of the interaction the cop apologized and explained that he didn’t know she was the DA because he wasn’t looking at his computer while following her…in other words, had he seen it was her, he would have stopped pursuing.
