Some more exploring a pattern. The tracks in this live set are never finished and this one I pulled apart and made some big changes to before recording this recording.
One of the things about working with grooveboxes that do 64 steps max is that 4 bars is long enough to do something melodic, but short enough that you really hear the loop. I'm currently working on making it feel less loopy without going full half-bar techno.

georgeous groove! simple and powerful breakbeat aesthetic imo. just release at least the first half, you don't even have to finish it - it's already good.

Honestly just bizarre that the current flagships are so much less capable than these two on paper. Fewer voices and more artificial limitations. Like certain machines on certain pads on the Rytm for example - literally why?

I think the Rytm thing is probably because of how the analogue voice hw is configured. I imagine you could have an 'any voice any pad' setup but it would be more $$ since each voice circuit would have to be able to do all of them.

The one that kills me is no parameter slides on the Digi boxes, and no plocking the FX
