This performance is the best re-imagining of the Woodtick theme I've heard! You're not just re-hashing the music, but adding your own flourishes like the flute trills and vocal effects. The style actually reminds me of the Barbery Coast theme from Curse of Monkey Island. I love it!

This is AMAZING! I've always loved Woodtick themes put in one track, but this is by far the best one. All the different instruments really ensure each Woodtick "part" has its own distinct atmosphere. And that Largo's Room theme at the end was just delightful! :-D

@@COJred1 Yepp, that's true. But I must say that Plunder Island in MI3 would be the island I would prefer if I wanted to live somewhere. Somehow I get a very good feeling there. There is both a sunny side and a darker side with a swamp and ship.

@ I think Plunder Island would of looked better at night, and maybe switch to day during the game. I can agree MI2 is the better game but MI3 is my favorite mostly because of Blood Island. I used to let the game running for hours on the main map while doing homework, console gaming and wishing I could go there.

So. Good news and bad news. Got a sick new sound bar. That whole "back from the pub" thing doesn't work so well. With the sun woofers. My argument better Saturday morning than Sunday evening isn't holding much weight.

I've just yesterday finally got to grips with a slightly simplified version of the scumm bar on piano. Its really satisfying to play. I'm definitely going to work my way through the monkey island music as I improve. Some songs are a bit out of my league at the moment but I might give the woodtick a go 😊

Sounds awesome! Yes, good to start with the easier ones. Woodtick themes are not "hard" technically, but to play all of the woodtick tunes in a single streak without sheet music is a bit confusing since the parts are very similar and it gets totally confusing to separate them in the head. I think I spent two weeks to bash them into my head :D and then also to keep the flow requires some effort. But yeah, notewise it is very easy :)

Yeah, it's a superb composition by him. Every section so similar, but yet so different. It took me quite some time to learn distinguish between them and play them all in one streak...like 1 month 😅 Cheers!

Seems you have to contact every rights owners for asking them : kzread.info/dash/bejne/gZWdlsiFmpDAfZM.html If you get the OK by the publishers seems there is no cost at all. They keep 100% royalties and you keep the master to 100%. But it can be sloooowwww. An other way is to pay an annual cost to a company that will take care of all this stuff for you. But be careful, seems it's a kind of rip off since you can dot it yourself for free. You should double check if it's true but hope it will help you coz it would be awesome to hear your work on Spotify!

Serious comment this time, you're really doing a great job reviving those old classics! Gave your songs quite a few replays during the last days, simply amazing recordings. Hope you'll put out some more piratey stuff in the future. Would spent some bucks on a whole album of monkey island songs played by you so I could insult-swordfight strangers on my daily commute.
