In a parallel universe, somebody is turning cloth into paper
I have been doing this for years but didn’t know it had a name! I use sweet almond oil, and when it’s done and completely dry, I do free machine embroidery on it, it’s lovely to work on!

Hi Kathy...so happy to hear that...you might want to try with hand lotion if you are at all worried about the oilyness of the oil 😀 I found that it takes quite a while for the oil to dissipate whereas the lotion is quicker.
VERY NICE
It just popped up as an option from another video, about reconstituting glue sticks! Interesting to me as I once used olive oil on butterflies cut out of tracing paper, colored with markers, this made them almost transparent! I used fine silver to make bodies (wrapped and twisted) and antennas! Thank you for sharing 🎉
Thank you for this video. I've tried this technique before - using just hand cream as shown by someone else. And I have to say, I wasn't really happy with the results. (Maybe I used the wrong hand cream?) However, I have just used the method that you share - using olive oil. And although the piece hasn't dried yet, I can already tell that it's a big improvement. Plus, you have led me to Froyle, and as a New Zealander, I am very excited to follow her channel too. Thank you. 🧡💚🤎
I had watched a video earlier on making Momigami and tried to use hand lotion and a page from a magazine, as I saw on a video.
