You are correct. I have never heard of this lovely technique. I saw someone on What Not demonstrating this technique and searched Momigami and found you.

I was looking for this because I have some ideas for a miniature diorama I'm doing and wanted light weight paper that looks like cloth to make wall hangings and I had to see if it worked on light weight paper as well as glossy (which was in a video where I first saw thus technique. This looks perfect ❤

Maybe I missed it but do you keep oiling your hands after each flattening of the paper? Could mineral oil be used instead of a food based oil? Love your work.

First time visit. Referred by Kat Kirby, who has tried this. In Arizona, USA. Want to try it with lotion. Love the idea of scented lotion. Did the lavender scent stay od did the modpodge smell take it away?

I had watched a video earlier on making Momigami and tried to use hand lotion and a page from a magazine, as I saw on a video. But the magazine page was just disintegrating and ripping into a little bits. I was looking to see what the best paper was to use and came across your helpful KZread! Thank you for your video!

Just love it!! By coincidence I was eating Chinese food which I very very rarely eat, and I realized quickly that the little heads looked so much like the back side of the fortune cookie that they threw in my bag! You little curvy mouth was cuter than the cookie! I find that it really helps to think of shapes as objects. Never could be so creative on my own! Thank you!! More whimsical animals please!! I loved hearing about your life! I guessed from your accent and buying gasoline by the liter even though I didn’t know that happened in Canada, it seemed to fit. Good for you to actually go out and do something good for the world!! 💕💕

your video was very interesting and informative. i was looking for brown paper bag leather information and saw the word momigami. the concept of making cloth out of paper is so unusual i had to see what it was all about. thank you for your video, i enjoyed learning about momigami. I love that word. could a person transform a magazine page or cover into cloth, what are your thoughts on that? thank you again for the sweet video.

I'm not very artistic. I do love doing resin pours. Alcohol inks are so incredible. Now I'll be watching al of your videos! No wonder my house is a mess! Haha

Wonderful! I have done similar style with full strength tube watercolors using my finger to apply. I do have some alcohol inks I bought on line by mistake {sounds nutty I know; I really wanted distess inks and got the terms mixed up) but I am intimidated by the mess, the staining potential and having to use expensive yupo paper. May try this on the glossy photo paper I paid a dollar for 50 sheets from resale shop.
