I paint on top of mine and they are lovely!
Dang, smart idea! Resin over wood - you go girl!
I am a quilter and wanting to do art quilts
You are correct. I have never heard of this lovely technique. I saw someone on What Not demonstrating this technique and searched Momigami and found you.
I found your video through an internet search. Yours was the first one that popped up. Thank you for sharing this technique.😊
Browsing. I have looked at other sits and this caught my eye. Thank you. The best to you.
Absolutely adorable! Thank you for an awesome tutorial.
I’m a collage artist who makes cards and am interested in this process for my collage work. I live in South Carolina and just found this on KZread and got interested, very interested.
I was looking for this because I have some ideas for a miniature diorama I'm doing and wanted light weight paper that looks like cloth to make wall hangings and I had to see if it worked on light weight paper as well as glossy (which was in a video where I first saw thus technique. This looks perfect ❤
Love this... thank you
Have you ever tried it with baby oil? I have a bottle at my studio for the gelli plate and think I’ll try it!
I searched after someone in a fb group I belong to made beads from momigami paper.
Maybe I missed it but do you keep oiling your hands after each flattening of the paper? Could mineral oil be used instead of a food based oil? Love your work.
First time visit. Referred by Kat Kirby, who has tried this. In Arizona, USA. Want to try it with lotion. Love the idea of scented lotion. Did the lavender scent stay od did the modpodge smell take it away?
I love your little whimsical froggies. I'm from Ontario. It's nice to hear someone talking in Celsius. 😂 I love hearing your stories, glad I found you 😊
❤❤❤❤❤
I searched for this after hearing it mentioned. Very cool.
would have liked more instruction, but love the frogs
thanks
I had watched a video earlier on making Momigami and tried to use hand lotion and a page from a magazine, as I saw on a video. But the magazine page was just disintegrating and ripping into a little bits. I was looking to see what the best paper was to use and came across your helpful KZread! Thank you for your video!
Stumbled on your video. This is new to me and a must try for my mixed media! Thanks !
I love your whimsical paintings!!❤
Hi, so the oil doesn't turn rancid at some point?
Just love it!! By coincidence I was eating Chinese food which I very very rarely eat, and I realized quickly that the little heads looked so much like the back side of the fortune cookie that they threw in my bag! You little curvy mouth was cuter than the cookie! I find that it really helps to think of shapes as objects. Never could be so creative on my own! Thank you!! More whimsical animals please!! I loved hearing about your life! I guessed from your accent and buying gasoline by the liter even though I didn’t know that happened in Canada, it seemed to fit. Good for you to actually go out and do something good for the world!! 💕💕

your video was very interesting and informative. i was looking for brown paper bag leather information and saw the word momigami. the concept of making cloth out of paper is so unusual i had to see what it was all about. thank you for your video, i enjoyed learning about momigami. I love that word. could a person transform a magazine page or cover into cloth, what are your thoughts on that? thank you again for the sweet video.
I was just browsing journaling sites and this came up. How very interesting and now I want to try it!
❤ Absolutely Loves this... enjoyed ur story telling!!! Please make more!!!! I love following along and making cute art pieces. 🎨
I did a search for momigami. I saw the term used in Junk Journaling, but it wasn't what I assumed it was, so I thought I'd do a little research.
I love junk journaling❤❤❤
I had not heard of this craft. I did a search after seeing it mentioned in a slow stitching group on Facebook. Had to see what it was.
No I wasn't looking for it. But I will try it.
Beautiful. I've seen a few other youtubers showing this technique but your video was the most enjoyable. Thank you. ❤
How adorable. Love the rabbit!
I just love that. Did you just paint it black then used resin?
No that is adorable!❤🥰
Now. Haha
These flowers are stunning! Oh my gosh!❤❤❤ I have all the supplies except I have the ranger blower but I think I like your air can better. I don't know if my flowers would be this beautiful. I'm not very artistic. I do love doing resin pours. Alcohol inks are so incredible. Now I'll be watching al of your videos! No wonder my house is a mess! Haha
Had learned of it a couple of years ago browsing art videos but recently forgot all about it. Glad to be reminded because I love it! Thank you.
Browsing KZread started with Notan and found your interesting video. Thanks!
I use this paper to wrap small gifts
Yes, love your cute froggies!!! More simple and fun to draw. From USA!!
Wonderful! I have done similar style with full strength tube watercolors using my finger to apply. I do have some alcohol inks I bought on line by mistake {sounds nutty I know; I really wanted distess inks and got the terms mixed up) but I am intimidated by the mess, the staining potential and having to use expensive yupo paper. May try this on the glossy photo paper I paid a dollar for 50 sheets from resale shop.
These are great!
This is beautiful! Please keep making videos. I love your work
Great looking abstracts! Love the process and will try it. Thanks for sharing
❤
These turned out beautiful!!
VERY NICE
Loved your frog family and also loved your talk about your past 🙏
