Unfortunately the war 🇺🇦 was kind of a call. I barely remember the life before but now I know for sure what my life should be like. Not complaining, it’s ok, don’t feel sorry for me, I’m alive, safe. Just enjoy your everyday life, say all of the important stuff you may be afraid to say cause there is only “here and now” guys. All the love 💕

This didn't necessarily change the course of my life, but in 2019, I quit my job after on going issues with pay. I didn't have a plan afterwards, but I knew I couldn't keep working there. In the end, I volunteered on a French farm for a month as part of a cultural/language exchange programme and it was one of the best things I've ever done. So not life changing but very empowering.

Thanks for sharing James, seems common that most people feel trapped by work when in theory its a fair trade agreement. I also have a very similar story to yours which has led both myself and Isi to Easy English.

Thought provoking video! For me a life altering moment was definitely when I decided to volunteer. I used to be a part of an amazing project that was aimed at creating a positive environment and activities such as arts and crafts , cooking etc for kids in children's care center. I realized that teaching and working with kids it is my labour of love. Today , I am a preschool teacher. Have a good one ! ❤️

Oh wow! That's a great story Flora, you'd have been perfect for our interview. 🙌 Also a great incentive for people to get involved in volunteering... I'm sure if both myself and Isi volunteered at a dogs home then we'd probably end up doing it full time.

Very interesting stories! I like this kind of episodes. As for me, there where some important changes in my life like moving to Japan or becoming a mother. But the inner shift which made me realize what life is all about came with a big loss, and I believe it’s the same for many other people.

How did I miss this awesome video? Is the man that lives in Australia, Scottish? What a lovely “accent” he has! Getting a scholarship to work in Austria right after college was the best thing that happened to me. I was the happiest I have ever been in my existence and weirdly I was aware of that then! Moving to the USA was the most regrettable decision I made in my life. Being away from Family and losing three of my grandparents and especially losing my father was a blow that took me a long time to “recover” from, rather accept and learn to live with… I am sure these experiences shaped me and taught me something but I haven’t been able to figure that out just yet!

Wow… thanks for sharing your story, I’m sure the person you are today is a result of these things. The concept of death seems to be an important part of life for developing and understanding who a person is. The guy was Scottish 🙌 He was a really lovely guy to speak to and we kept on chatting after the camera stopped recording.
