This is not a good look for the nba. Let’s speak plain bronny should not of been a McDonald’s all American let alone being picked 55 in the nba draft. So what you’re telling the world is bronny is one of the top 55 players in the world in 2024? He had a serious medical situation and only averaged 4 ppg. Shoot we’ve seen top tier players drop spots due to twisting ankles in high school. What does this say to the Mac Mclungs of the g league averaging mid to high 20’s ppg and had productive college careers? This just exposes what I think any nba fan knows that it’s politics not talent. The biggest self sabotage ever for the nba cause now I think hopeful players especially high school and college talent are going to forgo the nba and just pursue NIL and overseas money cause this is showing it’s not about actual talent it’s politics. And for a real talent they want to get better so what’s to keep them from leaving high school to play international since we see all the solid talent is coming from over seas. USA has lost multiple international games lately and is drawing speculation if the nba is actually the best and this pick is going to open some eyes.
