My son and i use to buy 2 pizzas every payday and drive them to a overpass in Detroit and give them to the homeless there. Ever since our son died 3 years ago I haven't had the strength to do this. Seeing this video...i think I will start again. I miss you son.

@@Fresno2550 right now, worse. Something about a pandemic, incipient depression and no jobs and all. For the few jobs currently available, significant pay cuts, loads of what were full time now being part time and benefits being not available for anyone not full time, leading to medical bankruptcies. No medical, during a pandemic, leading to hospitals going bankrupt and closing, still during a pandemic. Talk about maladministration of a soon to be third world nation! We handled the 1918 - 1920 influenza pandemic far, far better, even with 670000 dead! At least there, we did shut down businesses long enough - after one false start that worsened the pandemic and it finally ended due to the shutdown. Learn history or be condemned to repeat it in a far more painful way!

Lunkis then you’re not walking by hundreds of them on your way to work. People look away because it’s too much pain to see - can’t take them all home - can’t give all your money - so they are homeless and you feel helpless every time you walk the city. I’ve supported the regulars for years and then everyone who hung out with me at work started helping them to. It was good to see others handing over cash or food or smokes if they were scrounging. One man turned me down every day I offered until I insisted. He was surfing the ground and garbages and spoke no English - eventually he just gave in and accepted my help.

We’re supposed to give as unto our Lord & you never know, it could be angels that we’re offering help to & not even be aware of it!! We’ve had some come to our door hungry, thirsty & dirty & we never turn them away. Nowadays, people are scared of the virus, being robbed or worse, or that they want money for drugs, alcohol etc. We ask God to lead, guide & direct us & He does. If everyone would try to help; we would live in a much better place!! God bless you. 👏

It isn't only New York, saw the same things in small cities in the US, as well as larger towns. The simple reality of life is, in the US, millions are a few paychecks at best away from being homeless themselves. I learned that one out the hard way. No jobs available where we were, nothing nearby, money and unemployment ran out, out of luck. Just as everything was ready to completely fail, including shelters, my "Obama phone" (wait, isn't now a "Trump phone" now?) rang to schedule a phone interview, then offer letter and finally accepted offer. Tax check money paid most of our move back to my home state, family the rest and a few days after arriving, I started my job. Went home, to hotel, to streets, to shelter, to hotel and to on the road to be homeless for a few days of the new job until an advance got me money for a hotel and everything went uphill from there.

In Vegas a man approach me because he was hungry. He wanted me to go the restaurant with him and pay for the food. Instead I went in my pocket and gave him twenty dollars and he thanked me. My spouse wanted to know why I gave him so much and gave me a lecture on the possibilities of what he could do with money to which I replied I could not let anyone go hungry but whatever he does with money was up to him!!!! The amount of food the grocery stores, restaurants, and families throw away is disgusting and wasteful..When they can give the food to a food bank or to a place that feeds the homeless or poor everyday..People need to get their heads out of their butts and start caring about one another..To much is given, much is expected.. To much is given, much is expected, the Lord our God didn’t give you all that money to keep it for yourself, you are suppose to help others.... No one should be hungry in America, but I know a lot of children would starve if that didn’t go to school The free breakfast and lunch is like going to the most expensive restaurant...When you know better you do more..Some rich ppl are cheap as they are rich

There are good people who do this kind act. I used to be homeless and got some food from people. I now in turn offer them food money whatever they need...
