This is the best playing I’ve seen from Tommy in years. He is on fire in this clip. I think he must be super jazzed by playing with a young talent who can keep up with him and even throw out a few licks that would challenge him. Amazing performances from both of them.

I completely agree with your comment. He was on fire, and absolutely having a BLAST. It's a joy to watch.

One thing I've always loved about Tommy is how happy he looks while he's playing; like he's loving every second of it. Molly looks the same way. Love it.

the ONLY guy I ever saw who didn`t look happy playing guitar was a guy called Marco Pirroni, honestly, everytime he played, his face was tripping him, I used to think "mate, take up road sweeping or something else if it bothers you that much"!

I've always defined the difference between good and great that way - Good - technically near perfect - great - technically near perfect and expressing joy while performing!

Holy Cow!!! Molly is definitely in the big league now, including in the eyes of other world class players. What really gets me is how effortlessly she shreds... smiling as if it's just a lark in the park... all the while playing the most insane licks. ;)

Great players, when matched with other great players, shine! It inspires them and they become better. It is obvious here that they feed each others' soul and have a ball!

The guitar playing like this is difficult even for people who constantly practice daily; what people are not noticing is that Molly when she's singing isn't simply just following back to easy rhythm strumming but still is still picking away at 10000 miles an hour.

An old master and a young master.

Tommy is off the charts, and someone like Molly exposes that. Wonderful performances by both. Yeee-hahhh!

There's a million notes flying off into the air from Tommy's guitar and quite seperately there's a million notes flying off into the air from Molly's guitar and they all meet up perfectly - just amazing!

The best + the best = flipping AWESOME. I have been a fan of both these artists, and it is pure magic to see them play together.

Insane picking, Molly has to be up with the best flatpickers of today, she plays such great, interesting licks, and a wonderful singer too. It makes me feel like making matches out of my guitar. What a brilliant pair of talents to see on stage together.

Saw Tommy 3 years go in Mesa. So good it was exhausting to watch. Unbelievable. He also totally loves doing it and gives his audiences everything he has to give. Really enjoy Molly as well. Check out her version of Gentle on my mind if you haven't.

This was Molly's first performance on the boat and she seemed a little intimidated....but not for long.

The two finest acoustic guitar players ever, IMHOP.

I've seen this in both Billy Strings and Tommy, when playing with her they get big old grins and enjoy watching her just crush the instrument. It's a good time to be a fan of amazing picking. We've got a number of greats around right now. =)

alot of Tommy video,s out there ..But.. these 2 are like hand and glove.. such great playing and as Young as Molly is and great. Tommy just gave her a great reason to keep practicing.. could you imagine what goes on behind the scenes. Both are in guitar heaven..

Skip to 1:52 and listen to White Freightliner. Its Great to hear two performers have so much fun playing. You can see by the look on Tommy's face he's thinking "Hey this kid can play!".

I've nominated Molly as a potential lead singer and guitarist for the international Yes competition.

Uuuuugh.... This is insane... These two should tour together. I'd pay all i can spare to go see that.

Absolutely amazing skills. They both seem to be having a great time, too.

This is the most thrilling musical collaboration of all time. I’m transported every time I watch and listen.

Seeing these 2 play together is a gift to the world from above. Has Tommy Emanuel no limits to his creativity and beyond-human playing skills? ,He plays better with each passing year, showing us that he has overcome time itself

What a great fun moment! Two of my favorite acoustic players. Love the way they competed but supported each other at the same time. I don't think you could find a mean bone in either one of them. Both were great with Tommy being the showman that he is and playing to the crowd with flashy licks but I would have to say that Molly was probably the best on this one due to her familiarity with the material. Kudos to Tommy though for never turning down the chance to play with a great guitar player no matter what the genre or song. The man has been doing it so long he can do anything.

There's no amount of money in the world that could buy this talent. They are both the greatest.

It's great to see such amazing young talent in bluegrass.

All last year I was looking for these two together. So happy to see them finally in cahoots.

That kid is amazing and she can dang sure hold her own. Great voice.😜

Molly is unbelievable to be sure ...... but Tommy is just a monster player with a seemingly limitless bag of tricks. I would pay whatever admission price they are asking to see either of these two beauties in concert .... that's for sure.

Yeah, there’s still a difference. Tommy just on another planet, can play absolutely anything. Molly still so young, though! And she’s already unbelievable and taking in her music in so many directions - there’s no telling where she will go with it.

Ever notice you don’t see Tommy Emmanuel, Molly Tuttle, Superman and Wonder Woman in the same place at the same time!

Tommy just has the feel like nobody has! His playing keeps me interested the most. This is not a put down on Molly, cause she is just an incredible player too and very young. I can only imagine how great she will be in the years to come! This was a delight to see!

Really fun! Whole world of Blue Grass I’ve never explored, but always brings a 😊. I got to see Bill Monroe back in the 80’s, and I remember being blown away in the same way.

One of the best things about bluegrass is watching musicians smile at each other. It’s just an infinitely inventive genre with an infinite amount of talent. I genuinely love punk, blues, jazz, old country, even metal. But it ain’t bluegrass.

I have lived for the day I could see you playing together with Tommy Emmanuel!!😍 I've been following your stuff since the very early days of the Tuttle Family Band here on KZread, and I knew you would turn into something very special in the music world. I have been a fan of Tommy since I can't remember when. I discovered Molly at Ottawa's BluesFest and I've been delightfully hooked.

I've always been impressed and fascinated by Molly's playing. However, every time I saw her, she seemed to be extremely intense and nervous. As for this performance...WOW!!! She's relaxed, really appears to be enjoying herself, and it translates in her performance. This is the best I've ever heard her play. Everything just flowed and she made it look effortless. That's the sign of greatness attained through talent and a lot of hard work.

She was very shy on the boat when she wasn't on stage...and she got more relaxed as the week went on. This was her very first show. She really enjoyed being on stage with other folks....

I can't stop smiling while watching this! They are just so happy to be playing together.....the sound is incredible!

It’s incredible how differently they can do such similar things. They’re both playing super fast and technical acoustic guitar, but it’s easy to tell them apart, except maybe when Tommy is just playing background rhythm. His style is to hit the strings quite hard. You can hear them buzz against the frets and even from this distance you can see them react when he picks them. She looks like she’s floating above the guitar, and you’d be forgiven for thinking she’s not really playing it. It’s like she’s just floating across it pulling sound out of nothing. Before the trolls eat me alive: I’m not criticizing either one of them. He’s got precision out the wazoo, and his decision to really lay into his strings isn’t because he’s clumsy. He’s making an artistic choice. She is definitely really playing, and you can see her get a bit more aggressive at a couple points where they turn to face each other. I’m just fascinated by the difference in style between two artists who are doing almost the same thing, at a really high level of technical skill.
