One of the earliest memories I have is of my mother being chocked up against the wall by my father and her trying to fight back. I was maybe three at the time. And I have many other memories like that one, except that the more I aged the worser those events got. They finally separated when I was 12. Things didn’t end there though. They still continued to abuse each other emotionally and manipulate one another. I’m 18 now but I never healed from those things I saw growing up. Everyone around me seems to be doing just fine even after all that but instead of getting better I’m getting worse. The worse thing of all is that even after all the horrible and disgusting things I saw my dad do to my mom, I still love him. I have every reason in the world to hate him to despise him but I don’t. I still love him so very much. It hurts to love my daddy. I cant even begin to explain how much this song has helped me. So Mokyo, sincerely from the bottom of my heart I want to thank you for making this song. You helped put in to words all of my scrambled thoughts and emotions. I hope one day I’ll be able to heal too.

@@subriderem Gatekeeping art is a dangerous thing. You are afraid that you'll end up loving mainstream music, which means your taste isn't unique or you are not special. I completely understand how you feel, but your music taste will always be unique, those special feelings you experience will always be with you, even if artist becomes mainstream

That is so immature, gatekeeping should not be considered when speaking about any form of art expression, we're not in the 20th century where elitist communities ruled the art circle and made it hermetic and secretive. Share this with people, your friends might be thankful to you for showing them MOKYO and letting them experience his work. And who knows they might know some artists that are similar to MOKYO and share it with you as well. Give back to people, specially when it's something free but valueless like music. That's how people grow. That's how art evolves. And plus you would be supporting MOKYO by getting him some exposure.
