Can it be cleaned as usual? Does this become permanent? And if so, on its own or by the application of a sealer of some sort?

This worked great, color matched very well. However, the fill has a glossy sheen that doesn't blend well with the surrounding wood stain.

Glad to hear it worked well, here is a tip from our product expert to lower the sheen: Use either an abrasive pad (grey one is included with Hard Fill Kit in the box beneath the plastic mold) white or grey works best. Another option is to clean the area with a quick clean or wax wash that has been sprayed onto a cloth.

Mohawk as far back as I can remember sold a product called burn-seal it's spray that covers up the shine from the burn-in. You then spray the repaired area with the correct sheen lacquer!

Old school Mohawk hard fills you used to have to use burn-in balm and a product called bra-sive used with a felt block to remove excess burn-in filler! Thanks to Mohawk School and Thank You Joe D. for getting me with the program!

@@MohawkFinishing I'm glad Mohawk has come a long way from back in the day! I'm glad this company is still going strong and if I ever need some supplies I know were to purchase them. I spent several decades in the woodworking field doing restorations and lectures on finishing on how to use Mohawk products and others good products as well depending on the situation! Thank You Mohawk!
