I wish I could comment on the quality of them …BUT I ordered in Feb of 2023….its May 31 2024 and still nowhere in site. They send an update about every 6 -8 months and there is always some kind of delay .The communication with customers is almost non existent. The best part is they introduce new products but can’t deliver the existing products in a reasonable amount of time. They have no problem asking about the balance that’s owed to them though. As you can tell I’m not overly enthusiastic about this company.

I'm firmly in the Moducase camp, but I can't fault anyone with DIY solutions. Putting Moducases together is a pain if you don't have patience. I think I've been lucky having properly sized parts, and have had no issues with assembly...aside from the normal frustrations! I never went with the Detolf display crowd and much of my collection was waiting for a proper display case to come along for YEARS. Moducase was an investment in my collection, and everyone who sees it remarks how clean and professional it looks, along with making my collection look like I spent thousands of dollars on it...oh wait, I did!

I love them, delay was in a situation that my friends and family thought it was a scam and no one belived that i would actually get them.( Covid and overall situation in the world.) I made the order october 2021 , got them march 2023. Assembling went easier after 3rd one, then you start to have a system, (I have 12 pieces of sixth110 and 6 sixth55) I felt like it was easier to go with moducase, since i just moved and everything was in boxes anyway. I do enjoy very clean aesthetic that they offer and i felt that with DIY solution i would not have been able to make it that way, now if i would need additional ones i would perhaps order from some handyman in my area instead of waiting for a really long time.

Everything you guys said here needs to be considered. For me, I was gonna stick with Detolfs. I had my one little Detolf and about 11 figures last year around March when I decided I needed something bigger because I had gotten into vehicles. At the time, I was gonna have just two Batmobiles, and I had maybe 14 figures on PO. I don't prefer the look of the large shelf display, but...vehicles. I didn't wanna build a Kosta Case because I didn't wanna make it look trashy and drag my collection down, so I decided to go with Moducases cuz, well, look at them. I knew about the long wait and had been hearing that they were whittling it down to 6-8 months...which is what they had told me when I emailed them. I decided to go with one of their off the rack options which fit my wall and future plans nicely, would have given me room to grow. However, during the 6 months I was told to expect, I added a third Batmobile...ordered the Batwing...added 10 more figures to my PO list and bought another 15 or so from the releases last year. By the time my cases were expected to arrive, I had just about outgrown them. But then they got pushed back a couple of months...which I was fine with, I could hold out a while longer as my lone Detolf started bursting at the seems. I was expecting the cases to ship around December, when I got an email saying that their warehouse had suffered water damage from a faulty sprinkler system...and it would set my order back at least another 6 months. I decided that I could hold out...I wasn't mad or anything, and I really wanted a nice professional looking display to level up my collection. But as the POs became releases and my 1 vehicle became 2 and I was waiting on the third, I just couldn't wait anymore. So I emailed customer service to cancel my order and just build a Kosta Case after all. And they were great about it, refunded my full cost and then I was set to get my new build underway. But yeah, my whole collection plan changed rapidly and the wait was just no longer feasible...but also, the reduction in cost by going with a DIY allowed me to better manage my PO payments and make an unexpected purchase that I hadn't expected to find so soon. But the garage racks are more flexible in terms of sizing and shelf adjustment...I can make my shelf space whatever size I want within the confines of my racks on a whim...doesn't seem like that would be very possible with the Moducases. And there are fewer pieces to put together. I know when I have to move, I'll be much happier taking these racks apart and rebuilding them later over the course of just a couple of hours with no screws or small parts needed. Won't look as polished as a Moducase...but the racks I have look damn good enough with the lights turned on.

Being able to buy as you go and meet your needs as they come up should be a given. The fact that they don't carry stock is a problem. A popular product will sell out, but never having stock is a turnoff to people. I will probably place an order at some point, but I hope by then the wait time is drastically reduced.

I was going to order these until I saw them in person last year. They're just extruded aluminum with particle board, thin acrylic, and poorly done lighting/wiring. I was not impressed, considering how expensive these are. Also, the wait time (after they said they were improving this) is unacceptable. The company is poorly run re:manufacturing, and they need to improve. Good customer service will only get you so far, and only applies when you finally get them. Easy pass.

Great video! Carlito’s display looks awesome 👍🏻 Personally the lead time kills it for me, and I’d rather spend the money on figures. So for me I prefer the trusty detolf, I like the glass shelves with detolfs and also they’re not as deep which suits my collection space. If I moved to a bigger collecting space I’d definitely consider moduspace or something similar - probably the muscle rack idea that you’ve done because I think they look equally as great 👌🏻🔥

I got my order after 11 months, and to my surprise everything right down to the last nut was packaged. Nothing was missing in my order. As Carlos said, the trick is to plan ahead, I also had to make an adjustment to my order because I realized I needed more cabinets to store my stuff. I guess that's one of the good things about the long wait, you can make changes if you have to. After building the first couple of units, you develop a routine and it is not as bad. It's not hard, but it is a tedious process. I'm more than ecstatic with the way my display turned out. It is a little costly but well worth it. I would like to see a better image of yourself made cabinets before I can give a true opinion

It has come to my attention that some have expressed that they feel this was a hit piece on Moduspace. It’s nothing of the sort. I’m a happy customer and I’m happy with the product. I only meant to point out some obstacles in the journey of ordering, receiving and building my Moduspace displays. This was my personal experience. Again like I said in the video the customer service is great and the product is good but it isn’t perfect. I just sought to help collectors make an informed purchase and let them know it isn’t the only option. No product is one size fits all. In the end your collection is your collection and how you display it is a personal decision. Thank you for all the positive feedback in the comments.

I used them overrated detolfs for a while, but as time went by used the same method Dean Knight has in his room shelfs and good lighting in my collection room and I get the "oh but that's too much dusting" but that for me is curating the collection itself and it theraputic to clean up my toys. Sometimes people forget simplicity, shelfs have space I need, shapes, and sizes for multiple or single figures. And congratulations🎉🎉🎉 on the new 1/4 scale😎 acquisition.

They spend your money the moment you pay on "R&D" and other "miscellaneous costs". The waiting part comes down to human nature, particularly in industries like construction/manufacturing. Once the builder's paid, there's no longer much incentive to finish, and you're no longer a priority. Their time and "their" money is better spent on getting more new customers through the door, especially with new product lines.
