Modular Techno #30 - Hybrid setup w Native Instruments NKS

Музыка

gauthierm.bandcamp.com/
This track was started the other way around: poly synths (Omnisphere, OB-E) are sent to granular delays and filters, giving some quick inspiration. Presets and parameters are browsed conveniently using the Maschine NKS format. Other MIDI tracks were then written to play notes within the chords. These monophonic voices are played and recorded individually on modular (bass, synths, drone). White noise added at last with Frap Tools Sapel and some filters controled by Erica Synths Black Joystick 2. All effects & mastering tools added in DAW.

Thank you for the kind words 🙂 I am unfortunately traveling a lot for my main work, leaving me not so much time for music production. I am pretty sure it is why KZread does not recommend my channel to more people, if I can’t upload more often. I tend to work longer on one project at a time rather than posting everyday. One of the next objective is actually to find a workaround to produce/arrange/mix when being away from my studio, which could eventually lead to upload more stuff. New ideas coming soon 😀

A little less rumble on this one man. Better to hear those sweet SEM pads. Amazing as usual. Thanks.

Amazing sound! And what a setup!! Questions: I love The Optx, but don't you sometimes find it a bit too noisy? Do you have a particular tip to get rid of the hum? Also, do you prefer Triptych or 100Grit? Or do you think they are just entirely different things? Thanks!

Hello, I didnt notice any particular noise issue with Optx, but I’m only monitoring from the speakers whose output level (sound card is an RME Babyface Pro) is quite low by default. For distortions I really like modules from Schlappi that I always kept. The 100 Grit is pretty unique and I made many bass lines with it in my former tracks. The triptych is actually one of the next module I’ll sell this month. Sounds good but nothing crazy, especially considering some very good VSTs alternatives recently released.

@@GauthierM Thanks! Triptych was on my GAS list as I am into SSF stuff, which I like. Maybe better to give my 100 Grit some propper love for now! ;)

N’hésites pas si tu as d’autres questions, bon patch 😊
