Modifying The Cheapest RENAULT In France (Feature Length ROAD TRIP 4K)

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We head to France to pick up a car that Marty bought off the internet, sight unseen. But things don't go to plan... With just 48 hours, we need to find a new ride, plus modify it in a country where it's illegal to modify cars, then road trip it to the 24 hours of Le Mans race!

In May 1923, Michelin won the first 24h of Le Mans. Thanks to this victory, Michelin would make motorsport their preferred testing ground for their innovations. In these endurance races, Michelin demonstrate one their core values of 'Performance Made to Last'. In 2023, Michelin are focusing their innovations and research efforts on environmental issues and challenging themselves to create all sustainable tyres. Motorsport is now, more than ever a testing ground and accelerator of Michelin's innovations. That’s why Michelin invited us to the 100th running of the 24hr Le Mans to discover their past and future journey in innovation and see how they ‘Race for Change’. And yes, they won again!

We're back for another road trip. This time we head to France to work on cars, meet up with MCM fans, and go to one of the most famous races in the world. We hope you enjoy this feature length film as you ride with us in some French nuggets! As always, if you'd like to grab something from the MCM shop it really makes a difference and helps keep the show running and allows for bigger films like this. You can grab the new CHOPPED Sun Glasses here: mightycarmods.com/collections/accessories/products/chopped-sunglasses Thank you also to Michelin for helping sponsor this video, and getting us access to the 24 Hour of Le Mans. #WeRaceForChange Links, including to the new song, 'PARIS' by MOOG are in the description. We hope you enjoy the film!

Well guys, being from the Netherlands and loving French cars i am glad to see you guys bringing some respect and love to them as well, here in the Netherlands people tend to scoff at us French car drivers as they believe in the 'Far superior' German cars. But even though i love German cars as well, i don't see it that way, my little 106 has brought me so many more experiences and smiles than any VW, BMW or Mercedes ever could have. One of the main reasons i have kept watching you guys over the years is the fact that you discourage the clout chasing, find a car that makes you smile and ignore what the rest says, and i am so glad i have kept true to that advice. Keep doing what you do guys, and i hope to attend a meet in the Netherlands in the future! Stay mad!

Love the video boys. Went to France while dad was TAD in Germany, around the time of the country's reunification, late 80s. Found one of our relatives was living there, dad took mom and me to meet her. And I have child and young adult books, as a learning, and teaching aid. Wife speaks 3 laingaiges, 4 spoken, 1 tactile, the last visual. We taught our daughter most of them, including ASL, as she's going for her degree in nursing. She had essentially native speakers of the few offered here. Made homework much easier. Wife and I share 3 languages, and we each know one, minimum, the other does not. Currently. Her dad also served Respect, Moog.

As a vulnerable foreigner in difficult circumstances, I will never forget those incredible and impactful times I was helped by complete strangers. Also, thank you for calling attention to what seems to be a universal stain on ALL societies, whether modern or developing, and choosing to illuminate the subject of poverty. Despite seemingly teaming abundance of wealth in much of the world, billions of us do still struggle not knowing when we might be able to afford our next banana. I just love that generation of Renaults - My mum had a -99 Clio (pre facelift version of your car), which I borowed the summer of -04 to have as transportation in my summer job. Loved it so much I am totally into Renaults ever since, currently owning a -08 Modus (my hobby car) and a -19 Zoe (my commuter car). I love the way Renaults (and most other french cars) are tuned to be both comfortable but still agile to drive - very addictive, can't imagine not owning a french car. BTW - if you like the sun staying up long in the evening, you should come here to Sweden in mid-summer, when the sun never really sets - just awesome! Equally awsome: the 24 hours of Le Mans. As addicted to that as to french cars. Great episode!

Those 1.5 dci lumps are amazing engines really, not quick obviously, but the mpg is truly epic! Wish you had a mk2 sport though (172/182), I swear you'd end up hunting for one of the few that made it to Aus. Also, regarding your tyre issues, nobody runs 17" wheels on mk2 Clios, as you found out, very hard to get them to fit. The issue with 16" wheels is that Michelin don't make the PS5 or even the PS4 in 16" sizes, the newest they do is the PS3, as you probably know from the super turbo. Could you see with your influence if Michelin could make the PS5 in 16" sizes? A lot of French nugget fans would be very happy haha

I love the cars of MCM, but what really gets me watching every video is that you two seem so freakin' genuine. You're incredibly successful by any metric and while some of your cars are getting more expensive and rarer, you still find the same amount of joy in the cheap, accessible nuggets that have always been your staple. More importantly, when you said you were traveling with your best mate, I believe it. You two still seems like the best of mates after all these years. How hard is it to follow a passion and go into business with someone and remain such good mates? You guys are top notch role models and I hope everyone sees that you don't have to be a dick to get ahead. Also your production quality remains stellar every single time. Thank you for what you do.

My very first car was a fiat Punto with a whopping 60bhp and as you can probably guess. The head gasket went, which is a VERY common thing to happen to those engines. I've had 2 206 in the past. The first was a 1.1l 8v and the second was a GTi with a 2l 16v which is the funniest car I’ve ever owned. After those 3 frenches, I got my very first Germany car which was a 2004 A3 with a 2l TDI with a 6 speed DSG. I've had a couple of alright car's in between my A3 and my current car (Vauxhall GTC and a Vauxhall Astra), which is also German. It's a Mk7.5 Golf GTD with a 2l TDI with 181bhp & 380Nm that's going into a 7 speed DSG. I got it brand new back in March 2018 and I love it. It's not as fun as the GTi, but I much prefer a car that's well built, know your going to be alright if there's an accident and doesn't need things replacing all the time when they wear out/shit the bed. I also can't drive a manual anyone as I lost my left leg up to the groin because of a bike accident.
