10 SECOND SLEEPER [Toyota Cresta]

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The MCM boys head to Japan to pick up an old Cresta in attempt to go faster than they've ever gone before with a 10 second quarter mile. But going at supercar speeds is a huge job when the car they've chosen was never designed to go that fast...
Thank you to Transformers: The Last Knight and Paramount Pictures for the opportunity to create this film.

Also something to note around Mighty Car Mods: we are normal guys and are not trained mechanics. We like to make interesting car mods and show you how we've gone about it, but we can't promise that anything we show you will work for your particular car, or that you won't harm yourself, someone else, your car or your warranty doing it. Please be safe, be responsible and unless you know what you're doing, do not fool around with very serious machinery just because you've seen us make it look so easy. Talk to a qualified mechanic if you are in any doubt.

Hey! MCM. After binging all of these 30+ minute docs, I just want to thank you for doing them with charm and class. I love the multiple part videos you are currently doing as you put a lot of meat and veg into them to make it worth it, but these complete build videos are so satisfying to watch! I have always loved cars but never have I considered a project like this. But seeing how much fun you can have with it is really inspiring and when the time comes that I can afford something like this, I am going to ask my friends to help out and just enjoy the process instead of focusing on a perfect final product. Cheers from Canada boys and I can't wait to see what you do next!

No excessively expensive GTRs or Supras, but old school Japanese cars that are only converted for fun/race and without glittering paint or useless spoilers. You are not only the fastest but also the most pure. By the way here in the Netherlands it's 1 a clock, but that's not important now.

This is the happiest any car build has ever made me feel. I reckon she's still got more in there. I want to see out takes of this! What suspension went in, what problems you faced, corner balancing, troubleshooting, all the technical tomfoolery that goes into a build like this. You make it look so easy, people don't realize the amount of research and parts hunting it takes to find just the right parts, tools, lines, fittings, bushings, gaskets, bolts, belts, and the million other parts to the puzzle. And how one small thing can mean months of delay to get it all to work together. Absolutely loving this.

oh it has more in it, with all those performance parts in there, all they need to do some ecm tweaking and the like and they may even get it into the low 9's, this car can compete with a lot of semi-pro drag racers i feel, that poor camaro ss didnt have a chance in hell lol, i could have told them that camaro wasnt that fast

Mighty Car Mods is so much more than a car channel, whether or not that was the intent, you guys, the music, the narration, the cars, the editing, it all feels so pure, and its just something special. I hope one day I can do something this exciting/fulfilling with my life. Love the channel keep up the great work! Thanks guys, cheers!

with the ladder bar set up and chopped up floors they will likely end up in a HRDW class that they would not be competitive in at high 9s. If they could drop to low 9s high 8s they would be more competitive. Alot of those slower camaros and mustangs you see running drag week are running in barely modifies classes that require stock suspension, stock flores , stock fire wall position . There is a lot more to HRDW than meets the eye. However it truly doesn't matter what your time is within your class you can win by just making it through the week. It would be cool to see MCM there.

I have watched this soo many times, by far my favourite KZreadrs, I started watching you guys back in 2013 from hospital, I was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma, I was 11 at the time and spent a lot of time waiting in waiting rooms and hospital beds, I spent most of my time watching your videos and playing the original forza horizon, now 6 years later I just finished my Pre-apprenticeship in light vehicle automotive repair, I travelled 4 hours on the train each way but watching your videos made it feel like a 5 minute train ride. I get my license in 2 weeks and I can't wait to start with cheap, easy mods like you guys did back in the days, from the blue terd and the trd lazer to a 9 second Cresta, its weird, in some ways I feel like a proud dad watching you grow but also like your younger brother who helped me find my passion for cars, either way, I really hope to meet you guys one day.

An other damn fine video. Just the right amount of tech, funnies and music that I'm not usually into but really appreciate that it is all home produced. For sure production is up there with some of the best. Netflix could learn from you guys. Thank you so much for keeping awesome things coming for us all over the world stuck at home.

Such a good channel. There’s a show called wheeler deelers that was in the uk. And they changed it in order to make it more universally likeable. And one of the engineers left. The show has never been the same and I no longer watch it. This Chanel is like the show I remember and love. I appreciate the content. Thanks

Ai Moog, the retro music was kick ass, man. The VHS intro was really cool too. Radical.

I'd LOVE to see a 2 hour directors cut sorta thing, where we see everything in more detail. Usually this would be done in 10 episodes but all in one? Amazing but we want MOREEEE

Not going to lie, that sub 10 sec got me teary. Brilliant video - I’m a fan of the ongoing subtext, a bunch of mates, messing around with cars having fun.

Not sure what's the most exciting part. The fact you are showing the rest of the world how good the falcon turbo 6 is. The fact we finally seen a bike in a video. Or all those Aeroflow fittings in one video.

6door 6four well they stopped manufacturing them this year so I suspect a lot of older blocks are going to be snapped up for drag cars locally. don't know what your chances are of importing them. since aftermarket joints here fab brand new heads and blocks for other engine types maybe they will for the barra but it would be expensive as hell
