Truly beautiful piece and thank you for your kindness in teaching us how to make the fancy modifications the way that you do! They really make your art awesome eye candy looking at all the different things you add. Thank you 🙏 from the Northeastern USA 🇺🇸 🥰

Wonderful tutorial. I always learn but don't have the nerve to modify. So good to see you painting again. You are missed. Soon I will be able to give it a go. Thank you for sharing ❣️

Many thanks... sometimes there is just no reason to modify. I think if the piece can stand alone than I leave it be... adding embellishments is just a fun way to add a bit of interest to something lacking luster. Just go for it...you may be surprised. Cindy

Great tips. It’s lovely. When I started out, I got a set of primary colors. With primary colors you can make any color you want.

Thanks Sandi that's a smart move. I make many of my own colors as well. When I first started I was probably like most ans had to have absolutely every color... not exactly cost effective. Now I have a variety if colors are create different shades and colors by mixing. We are smart cookies . Cindy

First time watching love your personality . I liked how you actually admit paint is expensive . I hate it when someone says oh it’s just paint if you mess up just start over !

Hi Fran, many thanks for watching. Paint and supplies are terribly priced. I am Canadian and our costs are double US prices for paint. I try to keep it real and on a budget.. there are alternatives to keep us creating. Cindy

Hi Cindy, I finally have my own KZread account back! For some unbeknownst reason, my gorgeous granddaughter, decided to log my new phone into KZread, using her account 🤷‍♀️. So I’m no longer Mell Mell 😜. This painting is gorgeous, I’m absolutely loving the beautiful 24K and the pink and purple, sparkly rainbows in this piece. Just stunning. I’m in Australia and I’m very jealous that we don’t have the ‘FAB’ or ‘FAE’ events here. Anyway, take care and stay safe, love and blessings from Australia ♥️🙏💐💐💐

This comes as a life saver to me since I have quite a few cheap color bottles that I bought “ just in case” haha I noticed that you said the DecoArt gold is mixed with medium. I can not find one that doesn’t change the quality of it . Which medium are You using for this particular paint?

Hi & many thanks. Deco art 24 k gold is my absolute favorite. It doesn't loose sparkle or bling once mixed with medium. I am using a mix of 3/2/1.. (video here somewhere ). Mixed in volume. 3 parts Valspar season plus ultra deep base, 2 parts minwax polyacrylic , 1 part Elmer's glue all. If you have heard me say Sico mix it is the ultra deep base that I have had to use as a substitute for Valspar because it hasn't been on the shelves for about 6 months. I add water to thin once I have mixed my medium into the individual colors at a ratio of approx 2/1 medium/paint. Hope that helps. Cindy

That's a good question Barb... Yes, absolutely you can regular acrylic. If I am using regular acrylic for my pillow I quite often add a generous blob of pm to give the pillow a little bit of body and stretch.. I've seen may use Artist loft with great sucess. I generally use the houseplant, its considerably cheaper and it allows the stretch needed for these types of pours. Cindy
