In the midst of intense conflict, Modi went to New York and did Yoga instead of visting Manipur. He came before elections to Guwahati which is a 30 minute plane ride from Imphal but he thought it was too far for him. He'd rather fly 10-15 hours to other countries. Manipur leaders went to Delhi to get an appointment with him and even the CM flew to Delhi. And he refused to meet them. Talk about hard heartedness. He is Prime Minister, Prime Monster.

I've even fled on two occasions from my home but we got back within a few weeks and our homes weren't burnt or destroyed or looted like this. What lived experience do you have of conflicts in Manipur? Don't try to defend Modi and BJP just because you serve them? Do you even know many leaders including the CM went to Delhi to request a meeting with the PM and the PM refused? He has all the time to do yoga in New York, snorkeling in Lakshadweep, attend building and temple inaugurations, campaign everywhere but he can't take a 3 hour flight to Imphal? Is he so cruel as to even refuse when people come to his doorstep in Delhi? If that happened to you and your family, would you still support him? Our state economy has completely collapsed and children education have been disrupted many times and you think this is a joke. Shame on you.

Now there is need to be more cautious than earlier. Strong opposition and positive social media can play a vital role to put the Govt on alert.

In 2002, anti-Muslim carnage engulfed the Indian state of Gujarat, killing at least 1,000 people. Most of the victims were Muslims.
