Possibly the happiest, most upbeat song ever about death. 😂. Gotta love Modest Mouse-as soon as I saw this notification pop up I came running.

@@CarpetCleaner0 Did you watch the video? It is literally about sheep being taken to slaughter. Aka, we all end up the same in the end whether you are a billionaire or homeless. So don't sweat the curveballs life throws at you.

​@@Mudcat3434 It seems to me that most MM videoclips don't represent the lyrics much at all. Instead the producers (and I guess the artists also to some extent) seem more intent on creating a standalone visual story that is captivating and attention-grabbing. Maybe they highlight a secondary theme or interpretation. Don't get me wrong, MM songs are layered and the mortality theme is not an incorrect way to hear this song. But on the surface, if you look at the lyrics themselves and listen to the song within its position early on the album, then it presents as a song about holding a lighthearted attitude towards life's problems and responsibilities, maybe even moving (floating) on to avoid negative consequences. Later in the album the songs get unsettling and dark as the protagonist rails against responsibilities and social expectations, before achieving some degree calm acceptance in responsibility (and death).

I want to see you react to some of their older stuff... try gravity rides everything
