Is this good for also carrying around all your normal wallet things like cards/cash or would I still have to carry around another wallet?

It's a thin wallet style. You can carry 2-3 credit cards. But the more you add the less flat the flap will close. I normally just store a few business cards and 1-2 credit cards.
