This is the first window quilt I've seen where the slats are actually in perspective relative to the viewer. It really looks like you are gazing out the middle of a window. Love it!

Thank you. I have 25 (or so) panels and this is a lovely way to use them. 😊

Wow, I love this!! I do have panels but have never really liked any of the directions in making the "attic window". This turned out beautifully. Now, to find a lighthouse panel so I can make it for my hubby's best friend!! He will LOVE it!! Thank you so much for your video. Peace and blessings, Vicki

Thi is creative and amazing use of a panel, I love the design. I wish I had seen this before I cut up my panel into 9 equal rectangles. I will archive for my next panel! Thank you for taking the time to do this.

Beautiful! First think I noticed was the face looking out as US from the bottom left corner.

How would you measure the cuts on a bigger panel?

I have a question. On this panel it doesn't matter as much but when you do a panel, for example, ones with wildlife, figures like snowmen, or something of a recognizable shape like a building or Christmas tree, do you compensate for the width of the window frame. Nothing to me is as bad as, say a Christmas tree that angles correctly in one pane, then appears to go downward behind the window sill, then angles out in the lower pane from where it was above, or a deer with an abnormally elongated body. How do you determine how much to cut away from the panel to make the picture proportionally correct?

why not cut all the way through the length and width at the same time?

I am only giving a suggestion. Please feel free to do whatever is comfortable to you. Also, the cutting sequence may vary according to each different panel as far as fussy cutting pieces you want.

How did you determine the first cut of 4.5 and how would you use this concept on another pattern?
