i just quit multiplayer games with battle passes and crossplay, such a joke, no innovations in maps etc, just shitty skins etc, I'll stick to Single player

Overwatch might be the worst offender of this, but it's really just a sign of the times. When I was the age of the average Valorant player, we were playing games that took less time meticulously crafting new ways of taking advantage of mentally susceptible children, and more time designing 9 mercenary classes that would be distinct from silhouette alone, yet stylistic enough that their visual quirks and nuances don't betray the design of the rest of the game, the maps, and the other characters. Make TF2 great again.

I really wish that multiplayer games have a TON of limitations, rendering them unplayable. Because I KEEP GETTING DAMN ASS SPAWNKILLED BY THE OTHER TEAM AND IT'S ANNOYING AS HELL. Like, look, if I came back from an exhausting 7-hour job and just want to chill out with the boys, GETTING SHOT 100,000,000 TIMES IN 5 MINUTES AND DYING is NOT FUN. Yep, gamers really got you messed up. If you want to cool down and chill out after a mentally-draining boring 9-5 job you shouldn't play a multiplayer game. No matter what the genre is, you shouldn't play a multiplayer game. It's not the fact that the game is bad. It's not the fact that you are bad. It's the fact that the players are too competitive or too immature.

Its fine, singleplayer games were always better anyways. Edit: One of the major reasons why I don't play Multiplayer games is the limited lifespan of them. If I don't dive into the game within its first game, welp, there's only 200 people still playing who are all 10x as good as me as a starting player with long times in the lobbies which makes unlocking achievements for it more difficult for it the less people there are.

Just started playing tf2 because people recommended it to me as I loved doom 2016 online and wow I missed out. So much more fun and laid back compared to the try hard pay to win crap in other games

Warframe Is Still the only Multiplayer Game i can bring myself to enjoy i can earn its premium currency in game by playing it not once does it need you to pay even their version of the Pass is Free you have 20 Tiers and You just do Simple ingane missions to unlock everything in the game

What killed multiplayer gaming was gamer's unhealthy obsession with skins. They seem to care more about playing dress-up over actually playing the game and developers are now trying to capitalize on that thirst by prioritizing battlepasses and stores instead of improing the games themselves.

i don't agree, games like Team Fortress 2 are seeing all time highs in terms of player counts. A game that is 16 years old and infamous for being mechanically deep as hell. Players want good multiplayer shooters, only a small fraction of players actually buy skins. Yet that's the people who make these games money, so they focus that.

@@Cassidyhunt If you're a part of the Overwatch community, you'll hear non stop on how loot boxes were better because it gave all the skins for free and the game isn't fun without them or how Halo fans are angry at the game not giving armor sets away for free instead of being angry at the servers constantly screwing players over. We're living in a participation trophy era of gaming. Skins were that participation trophy up until recent years. There's a definitely problems with the over all quality of games releasing, but skins shouldn't even be a priority to gamers until developers can start pumping out properly functioning and fun games.

i would argue that the whole concept of moba type games was kind of stupid from the beginning it never every really made sense in the first place. i mean sure multiplayer can be fun but when you literally have a game that has no single player mode at all and is entirely dependent on a server that could crash at any old moment and go offline anytime it is just stupid.

All I have to say is WARHAWK PS3! That’s what an online game is supposed to be like. You buy it for whatever price20$-60$ and that unlocks everything and there are no other items to purchase unless it’s DLC like a multiple map pack or something. Otherwise everything should be unlocked by playing not paying.

MP gaming died post 2011. My key points is people dont play games to have fun with the content of the game, instead they are playing for either skins, or dopemine hits with social interaction. No focus on the game and the last 10+ years has killed online gaming, and dont get me started death of LAN gaming... zoomers have no fucking idea.

Highly recommend checking out Deep Rock Galactic. Free battle pass, no loot boxes/buying levels/currency. Only dlc is cosmetics, of which there is quite enough in base game, but the community wanted ways to give them money out of appreciation. Plus new season is dropping soon! Rock and stone!

Pretty much given up on all online games now aside from some Co op stuff with people I know or tf2. Tf2 is the only one I played that is just a good time and not try hards and meta builds etc and doesn't do that battle pass pay to win crap And why I hate fortnite is it actively goes against itself between skins that make it hard to tell what's a headshot or a body shot, blending in with areas and adding stupidly OP weapons or items like things that make you fly high in the sky and you got a 1 shot weapon just dominating people or weapons that teleport you around and do serious damage. FUCKING STOP LOL
