Hi David. I love that you can get through the build really quickly ... but ... it would be really good to have you slow down a bit and zoom your screen on the menus and toolbars so we can see exactly what you are selecting. That would help heaps ..cheers

Hi mate, great video as always. Just wanted to point out that around the 2 minute mark (when you draw the wall around the perimeter of the slab) you can (always could at least in previous versions) space bar click on the edge of the slab with the wall tool active. Saves some time.

Excellent tip! Definitely one I always use with hatches and fills but tend to forget with walls and slabs haha

I’m enjoying your tutorials! I’m no architect but trying hard to design a 40sqm house for my grandad with the right space for the elderly living.

Passion is the first requirement of a good architect so you're on your way! Best of luck. My only advice is consider wheelchair use as a worst case as well so that if he does need it for whatever reason in the future, you've covered it already :)

It would be fun to see how would you make a Dormer in Archicad. I am thinking moving away from the software and onto Revit since I have 1000 issues with the Roof and possibilities there.

Dormer windows are relatively easy to create in archicad and I'd suggest looking into 4D library windows. I'll see if I can include it in one of my up coming tutorials for you. Also moving from. Archicad to revit is tough, reverse is okay.

@@DavidTomic Yes the ones that are simple. But in my case most of the time the Side Walls of the Dormer are Thiner then the front wall. The front Wall is on a angle so not 90degree to the roof. Its basiclly all modern Dormers. I do Side Walls with Shell comand, the front Wall as Wall, the small Shell between Roof and Wall on the Bottom part. The Roof of the Dormer with Roof as well. So I surraoud the Wall with Shell and Roof because I can make Shell connect with Roof but not the Wall with Roof on :(. And only on Wall can I place Windows. Its a complex Workaround but thats the only way I can make it show correctly in 3D as well as Plan

I don’t see any 3 -D framing with that program. How does it compare to Chief Architect?
