Thanks for uploading this I am useless at doing anything on the pc but this as helped me out I would see clips on ams2 and people using mods but seemed to complicated to mess about downloading this downloading that to get it all working but following your clip was a breeze now I have the full btcc liveries and drivers for the mini championships. Can't thank you enough made ams2 a totally different experience. Thanks again have a great day mate cheers

some of theses mod tracks are amazing..Willow, Rouen, Sonoma, Sugo...all great!!!

Use it for a while and works like a charm.

well done on the simple yet informative video...... I think you should do more videos around this subject, and AMS2 has to be the easiest sim to set up a online lobby using modded cars try it and you ]will be shocked at how easy it is. P.S you gained yourself a new SUB keep up the good work.

Easy as grabbing a slice of pizza, thank you. I need most of the cars and tracks from PC2 and I'll be ecstatic. The tracks in AMS2 have the same names, but different layouts like Monza driving me crazy. I downloaded Bannochrae and is a PC2 direct and shows as MOD, It would be nice if the cars did the same. Thanks again

Anyone bothers with GM anymore? I would have thought he'd be irrelevant by now. Generally speaking the inverse to whatever he says is correct, so it's reassuring to hear he doesn't like it 🤪

Thank you for making this video, really easy to follow and to replicate the steps needed. I’ve now discovered the Brno circuit and would like to do a race video from there featuring the mod circuit. Thx for video I'm only new to ams2 that helps greatly. 1. So the mod cars say from PC2 do they slot into corresponding series in ams2 and race against ams2 cars no problem ? 2. what about the ams2 cars on pcs tracks how does AI act ?

Hey glad it helps. Mod cars get separate series in AMS2, they aren't mixed together with default cars. They seem to run just fine on the mod tracks too, unless the recent 1.5.3 update changed that at all. I can't try now, waiting for a pedal part :(

Dumb question: Mods will work online too? It work with all versions of AMS2? I wonder if I can safety update the game and keep mods working

VR in AMS2 looks fantastic, for me much better than in ACC VR

try the Brabham hypercar...turn off/down tc abs abs and strap in for one of the best cars in the game. i drive it as a manual just for extra fun !!!!

Crystal is better visually, higher PPD and I feel slightly better FOV, and better black levels, but of course at a high cost. If I was given both, I'd absolutely choose the Crystal, and because I not exactly financially sensible when it comes to VR, I'd still choose the Crystal if I was buying either lol. It's very subjective if the extra cost is worth it to you. If you want the best visuals, it's the Crystal, plus you can upgrade to base station tracking in future too. You could always wait a little longer, if the Quest 3 has the Pro lenses it may be worth considering, and hope for more news on the Somnium soon (though that will be even more expensive), and of course there's the Bigscreen. MY very personal opinion is that the Crystal is a nice upgrade to the G2, but you may upgrade then disagree and blame me lol. So my vote is yes, but check out other reviews too, which I'm sure you're no doubt doing.

Does this video apply to the new Indy car mod as well? I’m confused because I saw another video of someone installing it through JSGME and having to edit XML files. 😅 thanks

We need a mod that changes the physics to something that makes sense

For some reason I am getting a Black Listed warning for the second link in your description, Project Cars Modding Team. AVG controls my fire wall, is it just being paranoid?

I haven't tried any mods yet mainly because most of them are just from pc2. This sim will have alot more longevity if we can mod it easily.

Strange, you're not unzipping them first right? Also try running CM as admin if not already, just guesses really. Otherwise post on the mod page at RD and hopefully someone can help you out.

hey Adam it said i have to install net core to run ams 2 cm but it doesn't want to run after i installed .net do you know maybe why

Not sure sorry, only thing I can suggest is run as admin, which you have probably tried already.

Ams 2 could have alot of longevity if mods are easier to install. I haven't tried any yet because iam not very good at installing files. Great video mate. I've liked and subscribed!

Can any one help me please…. When I drag and drop any car file pack out of the Thunderfalsh mod pack into CM it installs ok but nothing shows up different in game ?? Am I doing something wrong

Sure, so first go to the Project Cars Modding Team link in the description. At the top of that page you have "DOWNLOADS - AUTOMOBILISTA 2" for cars, and "AMS2 TRACKS" for the tracks. Find what you want and click download. Once downloaded, drag in to AMS2 CM and click apply. Remember to download the Trees Fix at top of tracks list. The second link, Automobilista 2 - Modding, click on "# Download Folder #", then Thunderflash mods, and you will see all his car packs available too.

Yes, but perhaps an incremental update has broken it? I shall have to try and see.

Was hoping to see how you actually install CM especially with respect to the Net 6.0 Runtime file that is needed.

I didn't install anything, I must've had that installed I guess. I only downloaded CM and ran it, no install.

I can’t seem to find how to download this , I’ve gone onto race department and then found ams2 content manager , but there doesn’t seem to be a link to download it!

Well it currently works. I guess we have to wait and see with every update but I'm sure I remember Reiza saying something about supporting mods and trying not to break them with updates.

I installed the CM, two tracks (Rouen and Mojave), and a Mazda RX-7. Works seamlessly. The problem, though, is that in hotlap mode, the PC2 tracks invalidate at the beginning of every lap, as if I've gone off in the last sector. ("Current and next lap will not count," or words to that effect.) In practice/training mode, the timing works fine. Odd.

Please help... I can't drag and drop the downloaded mods into content manager. Every time I try to drag and drop them, I get a circular stop sign. What am I doing wrong?

Sadly reports on Steam is that mod car engine sounds no longer work since this week's 1.5.5 update, the one that includes the Le Mans DLC. They're saying that the people that created these mods will need to tweak them in order for the sound to work with this major new update. Hopefully a solution or workaround can be found, as I doubt that every one of these fabulous mods will be reworked by their creators.

@@AdamsSIMporium Correct, I finally managed to install them and they indeed do work. Only one small issue with a 3.5L Renault (that resembles a F1 car) has an odd sound when revying the engine. Totally can live with it. All other cars work great. I highly recommend anyone that has AMS2 to try these free mods out. Including all the great tracks.

Hi, I've followed your guide and it was very easy thanks, but there is a problem I'm now getting when trying to drop mods into folder, after applying i get the message....error: startindex cannot be larger than length of string. (parameter 'startindex') 😒😒 can you help me? I'm not knowledgeable on computers.

Hi, I don't know why that is happening. Have you tried removing last mod you added? Maybe one has a long file name? Otherwise post on Racedepartment on the content manager page. Sorry I can't be of any help.

Nope, all free :) You don't need premium or whatever to download mods.

Hi, I just installed California Highway and Azure Coast mods, but the scenery looks all blocky and white. Is that because the mods are not compatible with my version of the game, maybe ? any ideas ?
