Wow, thank you all, I thoroughly enjoyed that, what a great way to round off series 1 - and roll on series 2! I can identify with you both as being a north-west kid, but my first 'exotic' locomotives were the Westerns and Warships. Over three consecutive years (1968 - 1970) spent on holiday in Devon with my parents, I think that I saw the vast majority of these locos actually in service.
