I guess we have Mark Chao to thank for for making us love Mo Yuan so much. I still remember my own tears streaming down when Mo Yuan returned. At that moment, it was as if the whole thing with Ye Hua was instantly forgotten and I was immediately rooting for Mo Yuan and Bai Qian. Just look at the way he looks at Bai Qian when he woke up, the emotions... After re-watching the show a few times, I even felt Mo Yuan and Ye Hua don't look similar to me at all although I know they are both played by Mark Chao. All in all, just an amazing performance.

Imagine how nice it would have been if only Mo Yuan didn't have to sacrifice himself. Only then would they have gotten the chance to fall in love. Unfortunately 70,000 yrs has passed & so much has changed. Although he loved Bai Qian first before Ye Hua. He wasn't vocal about it. He may have saved the world but losing Bai Qian was Mo Yuan greatest regret.

I ship them more...I'm sad they didn't end up together...

Mark Chao is a very good actor. I can see different eyes of MY and YH.

Lesson here, if you love someone, don't keep it silently. Be honest with the feeling and tell to the person regardless she/he would return it or reject the feeling. Otherwise you feel sorry and regret it 😉. MY have plenty time to express his love to BQ before he was gone. We could see how YH very quick, very honest and shameless chased his love, BQ since the day they met 😘.

Did u forget Bai qian was his youngest disciple and just a young teenager and mo yuan was same age as her father at that time. its improper. Mo yuan probably want to wait til she at least become an adult woman before confess or start any romantic relationship with her.

lyamainu 1st life was YH being the golden lotus. So it makes sense either way. Because w/o the 1st life YH wouldn’t fall for Susu that easy. YH loves SY even before he was born and that’s why the feeling remains even he lost all his memories after being born as YH The movie made YH and MY one but it’s not how the book was. Actually in the beginning MY was made to be the best match/pair to BQ, their name match better than YH. 17th sounds like wife in Chinese... but the writer lost for YH love at the end and let him has BQ...

For me YH suffered a lot Ever since he was a child the HL was very strict on him. He told BQ at the ending the first time that he was very happy when he saw SuSu and married her. I don't think it's strange, it means that Mo Yuan would love, protect much more than He Yuan, have you ever stopped to think, if the Goddess Bai Qian knew about the lies and took advantage of his lack of memory, having had a son because of an agreement in marriage for Peace between the kingdoms, it certainly wouldn't end very well for Ye Huan, he played a very risky game in seduction, but also due to the origin of the story based on the book, they wouldn't have ended up together, if they had continued with the repercussion of the story, because we cannot forget that Prince Li Jing could very well transform into the Ghost Lord and go after the children of the foxes, he would have bet and combined the two into one.

I love this drama so much, I dont think i can move on from this drama. 🥺😩🤒i think I’m going to watch it again.🤔☺️

I love this drama many times I watching this I love you both. I'm happy that in real life husband and wife I love you both with your cute little angel..

Finished the drama a week ago and my heart break for MY. For me YH doesn't deserve BQ, yes he is love BQ eternally, but he doesn't dare to fight for her in front of his family. And FJ is right that heaven tribe is a bully. I hate heaven tribe, see mortal as a mere of insect that they tortured Su Su, why not YH? It is not SS's fault for marrying YH and not knowing his identity. Meanwhile MY do everything he could for the sake of BQ, doesn't care if the world will doom because of it. Desperately looking for a fan fiction between MY and BQ but never satisfied me. I do really wish the drama has plot twist same as movie, where MY and YH is the same person. And i love Mark Chao's acting. The sorrow, sadness and lust can show only with his eyes.

k1mberlydinh832 I felt like that 70000 year slumber really but Mo yuan at a disadvantage. Not long after she gets over li jing, Mo Yuan goes into a coma. To me, ye hua sacrificed a lot for Bai Qian-Bai Qian went through hell and back in her mortal form with and because of Ye Hua. When it comes to Bai Qian and Mo Yuan, they sacrificed equally for each other. He sacrificed himself for her trial and his own soul. Bai Qian sacrificed 70000 years, her blood, and her own reputation. I felt that Mo Yuan and Bai Qian ties were deeper because he never pushed himself on her or allowed her to endure something he knew she couldn’t handle. She always respected him and would have done anything for him. If he had still been around, who knows how much farther he would have gone for Bai Qian. My favorite episodes were the beginning ones and when Mo Yuan came back. I honestly feel that they should have just left Mo Yuan asleep or with dead rather than being him back just so he could witness that his sacrifice went in vain.

I read the book 🙋‍♀️; YH didn't die. He went into a deep sleep which was compatible with the drama. The only difference is the ending. In the novel, it ends at YH (coming back from the coma) telling QQ to come here. The drama did a great job of wrapping up the cliffhanger ending for the audience.

To me MY/BQ made more since than YH/BQ. Yes YH loved her but she had nothing in common with him. She is very old compared to him and She’s a free spirit now she’s going to be tied to all the rules of the celestiales. I think BQ loved MY more than Disciplship. She bleed herself for 70,000 years to repay a debt no way. I think she was so dense to realize her love for MY and if YH didn’t push himself unto her she would of ended up with MY. Something just didn’t sit well with the story line. How can someone as important and strong as her let the Celestials treat her so bad and she just ends up right back to where it happened. 😔 fan fiction it is for me lol

YH is definitely not as mature and powerful (in authority) as MY but he isn't as bad as you said. YH was selfish and thoughtless at first but he learnt from his mistake and did put her wish before his, and even sacrificing himself for her safety when he thought she loved YM. What makes YH and MY different is that YH would put BQ beyond everything , himself and the world ( he didn't care much about the bell until BQ involved) while I doubt MY can put BQ beyond the world. Aside from that YH has nothing if not for BQ when MY has been living fine before she arrived. The ending is no where near bad ending but I guess to MY-BQ shippers it can be. YM hurts her but he has been loyal and does everything for her. The most important thing is she loves him.

Wrong. If Ye HUa really cared, he would never have allowed Su Su to suffer as he did, then to hide his actions from Bai Qian when he finds her again, he didnt even have the decency to apologise to her or even make it right by giving her eyes back himself... if he actually cared he would have faced his grandfather and su jin with a set of balls.... instead he only waits to shed tears for her when the lamp breaks..... he is weak and childish.... Mo Yuan on the other hand gave up his soul to save her along with the rest of the world... but as you say, we MY shippers will never see the point in the ending of this drama :-)

You don't understand the characters... 1. YH never wanted Susu suffer. If he could he would suffer for her. But he can't go against his grandfather because he is afraid Susu would be suffer even more. All he did was for her... and to protect her in his own way... To him as long as she is alive next to him he can pay back to her later. But what he did wrong was he didn't tell her the whole truth and let her decide from the beginning or when he took her eyes. 2. YH lived in guilt and regret even until at the end. That's why he thought BQ loves MY because he isn't good enough... and he has made her suffered. That's why he was willing to do anything for her in order for her to be safe... The drama is subtle you need to look at their actions. That's why until when he died he said MY would take care of her better and she will be good with him... He has no confidence because of what he has done for her... 3. He couldn't apologize to BQ because that meant he would have to tell her the truth that she wanted to forget... His actions is his way to apologize to her. When she remembered he want to rush to her right away to explain and apologize but she didn't want to see him. He waited for 7 days and nights. 4. He can't do anything about if if BQ didn't remember... and like I said MY has no one to answer but YM still has to listen to his grandfather. That's how he is raised. Because of Susu/BQ he has changed and actually went against his order... but he can't be like MY because he isn't him. 5. MY died for the world but he waited 20000 years to confess his love to her while YH climbed to her bed in matter of days. I'm sure most people see the lesson/point at the end of the drama haha

Susan Stevens l prefer MY than YH. He is more mature, decisive, emotionally stable and cares more about the people and the world (or else he wouldn’t sacrifice his spirit to the bell). I love how he treats (loves) BQ. When the immortal realm sees Si Yin as a man and that MY was in love with him, he couldn’t care less what Deities and Gods think of him. Even barged in the middle of the night to rescue his beloved from the water dungeon. And he even took the heavenly lightning bolt trials that was meant for BQ to make her into high immortal. What a man! Now, I want MY in my life ❤️❤️❤️

Actually there were so many discrepancies in this drama... that she bled herself for 70,000 years almost killing herself, including isolating herself from her fellow immortals suggests it was more than just a Disciples respect towards her Shifu, or wanting to pay back a debt... no Disciple would have gone to those extremes unless there was a much deeper love there.... . That Zhe Yan and her brother knew she was in love with him, even if she didn't, they said nothing, yet Zhe Yan acted as if he was hurting for MY at losing her... I think, originally Mo Yuan was meant to win her in the end, but the drama was aimed at a much younger audience, so gave her to YH at the last minute, to increase the ratings.
