Poor Mo Yuan, if the author didnt change her mind to make separated character between Mo Yuan and Ye Hua, he will be the one will married with Bai Qian 😅 but it will be boring story for audience since there is a lot of love story between teacher n their discipline. It's good decision the author change her mind and ended up Bai Qian with Ye Hua.
