So after watching pretty much all of your videos. And rewatching them. I have bought a couple of these RC'S and upgrades. Just waiting for them to get here now. I will be messaging you on here with questions if you can help if needed. But I'm confident after watching these great videos, I can do this! Thanks for all of the videos and comments from you. Hey I'm new to wpl and pretty much RC's in general, I jus ordered my first wpl c24 diy kit a couple days ago and can't wait to start working on it. #iwantit!

Nice One again,The best combo on the MN 90 is what i have done.The Mn 90 body on the C 34 Frame,look's good and Boy can it climb,And no Tumble-Rumble's.LOL, Keep Them Coming.your doing good.

Great review, hope to get one also.

the 3 wire servo and 260 size motor is the best upgrade they did for the newer MN model especially if the 260 motor is designed for high torque application and not high speed like what they did on the D90 RTR.

I brought the FJ 40 just because I love that model and I have the blue one. I have fun with it and I was surprised as to what it could do. I will upgrade the suver on it and shift the battery box into the back above the back wheels and I think it will be a great little rock crawler.

I say if you want an RTR the mn 96, 99, 99s aren't bad to start but a wpl c34km kit and the v2 sound kit with controller will teach you how to build and in turn you will know your rc inside and out.

Checking out your videos I have found informative which for an old guy like me who is getting back into the RC cars what with being stuck at home all the time looking after the wife as her carer I used have RCs back in the 70s and 80s these are way more updated and more to the real thing what with improved tech of today. Hey great video! I’m getting back into the RC game...came across the 99s. I’m about to buy one but wanted to grab some of the upgrades at the same time. What would you recommend off the bat? Also do the axel housings and most upgrades work across the mn-90-mn99s platform?

Nice! They are fun rigs and if you want to get serious with them they are upgradeable and cheap to do so as well. As far as the mn 90 to the 99 they are all the same and all the mn 90 upgrade parts will work. Don't purchase the wpl parts as they have shorter axles and would require you to mod your original plastic geared shafts(did this to my first mn d90 when upgrades for the mn d90 didn't exist).

That would be so good, but instead they did a Mercedes Geländewagen, and not a base utility model but the G500 4x4 with overly large wheels and fender flares; not exactly a Camel Trophy or safari vehicle.

one of these on the way.... and a Q65 willys jeep.... wanna upgrade both to be waterproof and stronger. any suggestions ???? great videos man !like the mn96 and mn45 ....seem like great cars for the price. Looking forward to playing and filming mine.

If you purchased RTR versions you can use conformal coating or plastidip is what tend to use to cover the esc and servo and use some marine grease to protect your gears in water. For the mn 99 I think some metal driveshafts would beef it up a bit. The Q65 i don't own but it looks like the wpl upgrade metal parts would work for it. Put a 2 speed and op metal upgrades with driveshafts and it should be a performer.

transmitter will be my next upgrade mine gets stuck really not a biggie great thing is there are a few good transmitter upgrades that wont bust a hole in your pocket lol,,

Yes you push the throttle forward and it gets stuck 😂

Are the wheel weights available as a kit for this model or is it something you make yourself?

Not sure if the wpl wheel weights fit. But you can just wrap some solder a couple times around the rim and tape over it so it stays put. That seems to be a good wheel weight solution.

hey there fine sir! I got one of these .... transmitter works for the steering, but no accelerator . doesnt move at all ...just steering. What could be the issue ? I am a bit nervous with buying a bunch of replacement parts if it could an easy fix. Thanks in advance brother !!! bought an RGT 136100 for 100 bucks ..... best money I ever spent bro..... wish I bought two at the time and dropped this MN90

I would check the connections to the motor also check if battery is charged. If you just purchased it your best bet is to contact the seller and see if they can help you out. The only other option is just upgrade it with better electronics and you will like the truck even more.

Hi mate Im really getting hooked on these MNs and WPLs is it best to buy them in kit form or RTR ? No too easy for a pensioner to buy them either way but man Im hooked just wish they didnt cost so much here in Australia Love your videos on them too going to do some myself when I work out how to. To much hi tech for an old fart like me Stay safe and take care

I always prefer kits over RTR but the newer mn RTR are good to start with because they are proportional now and when you upgrade just the electronics they perform pretty well even with stock motor and gearbox. I do recommend metal driveshafts for all these. Wpl I know are expensive but getting them in the KM kit versions is well worth it vs the other kits and RTRs in my opinion. Check out WPL-RC.com for the KM kits.

Great review bro 👍 I love my Mn 90. But I’m disappointed at MN rc for releasing the same model over and over just with couple of differences. I thought maybe they will come up with a better model after Wpl c34. Maybe in the future.

Yes what I see some of the hobby grade coming down in price meaning more competition wheels and tires would be great the Toyota body move to a 1 /12 scale , there trucks would be good to see them in 1/10 scale . I saw the wltoys has a big military truck but to me the wpl truck looks better the axels look great like the real deal the more realistic the look the better.

Received my one today. I have one issue with it though. When I turn it fully to the left, tyre(left) get caught with the shock. Any suggestions?

You might have to reposition the servo horn on the servo to fix the throw on both sides. Hope that works.

Is diy kit is better or simple car better which came ready to use please tell me

DIY is better because you can choose the electronics you use but the ready to run isnt too bad if you dont abuse your rigs

3:20 it says upgradeable parts are metal driveshaft,driveline and shocks It doesnt say it has them

Maybe when i have that rigs, i will take that straight out from the box in stock form to joining the rc offroad competition in my town. Since i never have a stock car to run cause my first kit just slip the drive shaft and i must upgrade it. #iwantit

for a budget crawler that works, my budget BEAST might be "the IT"... C-14 with JJRC axles (diffs locked) and the Fayee rims/tires for the 3/4" extra width. the newer C-14 kits do come with metal axle gears, saves the 11 bucks and the hassles of the part swap (input shaft) of WPL to the JJRC real axle... might lose 1/8" of that extra width is all. of the WPL, that C-14 still *best* thing for crawling they created, just needs some weight in the front wheels, OR modify to open the hood as location to put the battery pack... is my opinion anyhow :)

Looks like a decent crawler for the price. I have been looking at the WPL’s. How do you think this MN 99 stacks up against WPL? My daughter and I have been running a pair of SCX24’s and I was planning on building a C24. This MN would be great for her to run with it. Liked and subbed. That's sad news because these rigs are all inexpensive and desirable. I hope the situation changes--because it doesn't make sense. India is closer to China than the rest of the western world.

The metal parts showed on the box are upgradeable parts not stock. I would be surprised if a €50 rc came with all that metal

I ordered some of these for a project. Do you have wiring diagrams for these? I can't read the numbers on the chips.

@@RunThatRC I had started with a cheapo "robot kit" from amazon but it was junk. So I went looking for another platform and found these through you and others. It seems pretty robust and has upgrade and replacement parts and lots of videos. So will be a good platform for experimentation. And, I can modify the suspension or buy a complete replacement, if it has an accident. Thanks for your help.

I say MN99. Has some better updates like 260 motor, metal ring and pinion gears and beefier driveshafts. Also it's full proportional.

They are spec'd pretty much the same way so choose which one you like between the two. Mn96 has copper or brass gears and mn99 looks like steel gears. Haven't had and issue with either gears yet.

I don't believe so. I just plastidip the receiver esc combo and servo and waterproof grease in axles and that seems to make it waterproof enough for my style of running

it is bigger than the roc hobby katana. its about 14th scale vs 18th scale of the katana.

They are greased already but i would replace it with marine grease. Specially if you like running in wet weather.

They are all about the same. Just pick the one you like the looks of more and get that one 👍

They are different size with the ZP1001 being bigger. They both need electronics upgrade to be crawlers. They are both good to start with if your just trailing. I say the MN Model is a better choice. More upgrades available for you to customize it with.

You can buy 3d printed ones on ebay if you search wpl wheels. Also for other brands that fit. I know the fayee, jjrc, wpl wheels all fit on the mn99
