I was expecting him to go up to it, then move back, then move up to it, then move to the side, then move back, then move up to it, then move back, then start cheering while saying he was too fast for anyone to notice him throwing the punch and too damn hard it came back down and set its self back to zero.

I purchased both the medium kzread.infoUgkxfh2XUOHWYHKQYOvSq2gZ6PyCmVkTFGWz and small speed bags from Meister. I'm very glad I got both as the workout is quite different from the two. The small is fantastic for getting your speed built up once familiar with your striking. The medium bag provides a considerable amount more resistance building more strength in your punches. I highly recommend both sizes. Some people have expressed concern over the latex bladder leaking down more frequently than the traditional rubber. I have not found this to be an issue at all.

I do like this machine it does a fairly good job but after hitting it on the boardwalk a bunch of times I've mastered it if you throw more of a hook rather than a straight punch the sensor is in the machine and the concussion you'd feel with someone heavy-handed don't measuring all the time like it should you know guys that can touch you and hurt you don't always score well but not as well as they should for example the same guys that punching heavy bag off the wall only might score 900 on this machine so it's good but nothing can truly measure power like a bag that doesn't move

That and if it's anything like the ones I've hit the angle and placement of the punch is far more critical in getting a high score than how hard you hit it. But yeah it's a pretty crappy way to gauge how hard someone is hitting something.

I’ve seen an 1100 before from a skinny dude. He told me that in no way does the machine read power of the individual hitting it. There’s technique in how you make contact and where in your swing at max velocity you should aim for contact. 8-900’s are typical for most. Calibration pending and height plays a huge factor. Too tall or too short kills the power. Gustoffson had a serious adjustment to his natural swing which hindered his true power output. Raise the bag six more inches and he’s hit high nines. Doughboy had it just right on level.

These machines measure the time that the bag starts moving until it stops. In theory speed equals power but you can easily 999 these machines sit you hit the bag in the right spot. We had one unlocked at a local bar for us and a 150lb dude was 999ing it with a backhand chopping motion. He showed me how to hit it in a downward manner and I've been able to max them every since. I was hitting anywhere from 890s to mid 9s before he enlightened me...after I bought him several rounds.
