It's criminal that there aren't more views on these episodes. I have been bingeing this series since I found it. Trevor is a great storyteller and I strive to do as good of job on my own.

Howled with laughter at the roll on the description tables, "defiantly nondescript" not only is the table not working, it's deliberately refusing to do so! 😂😂

Honestly , Devona could have somehow brought Edbert to the island, so that events would play out to lead him to this very moment and awaken her heart

Calling it now: Edbert is basically Odysseus. Devona will be his Poseidon.

Missed the last two episodes at premiere time; such egregious behaviour ends this evening, Lords and Ladies, for tonight we dine at the table of Sir Trevor of Devall!

You can say whatever about Edbert, but he's a true gentleman in the sense that he knows it is extremly rude to bother a deity pondering her orb.

I love this series. The best thing before sleep ❤

Maybe during his period of amnesia he was actually possessed by the spirit of Sherilyn and she needed him to go there for some reason. Maybe she implanted in him the idea of going after the Soul Cage in the first place.

Trevor hits another 6, ball flies up and over the stand. Consistently brilliant stuff!

Exactly what I needed today: a bit of brilliant old school dungeoneering. This was so much fun!

I hope that Devona doesn't look too far back and see Edbert killing her cultists lol. I like to think maybe she's smarter than that though and has a new purpose for Edbert. Can't recall if we rolled any personality traits for her other than she's more evil compared to her good companion and likes to drown things lol.

Depending on the whims of the Pantheon of the Polyhedra, a bittersweet ending for Edbert's saga would be if the Soul Cage switched Edbert's and Cherilyn's places as alive and dead. Imagine Cherilyn being haunted by a bloodthirsty, snarky Edbert.

I'm just gonna put this scenario out there, more as a hope than a true guess or expectation. Who knows? Maybe the dice will heed my plea. We know Edbert didn't arrive by boat, so that only leaves a few options. He either got there by air, sea, or magic. My guess? Divona herself brought him to the islands after he fell overboard during a storm. Perhaps even using that 'cautious evil' thats circling the lake right now. But then, why would she do that? Well we know that the forces of death have been uppity around here for some time, to the point that perhaps even Death itself has gotten too great of a foothold in this archipelago. An archipelago that should rightfully be under Divona's rule. Yet here we are, in a temple with her Heart frozen in a pillar of ice. Divona's powers were locked away here some time ago, and because of that she hasn't been able to take a direct hand in wresting control of her islands back away from Death. She needs someone to release her imprisoned Heart from its cage. So why does she need Edbert? Because her Heart was sealed away by an agent of Death, and only someone touched by Death can break the seal. How's that for drama?

oooh this episode had such a different tone and feel to it. This one felt like there was lots of tension and suspense. This was a lot darker in tone and action then the others (probably being inside some caves gives it that darkness too). I looove the artwork for Heart of Devona. Looks great! Also love the concept of the Heart, that you communicate with it telepathically and it expolres your dreams and mind....awesome stuff. :) I'm actually making an animation at the moment and I'm stuck for inspiration for one of the locations, and this episode has given me great inspiration for cracking open the Location Crafter again and rolling up some stuff in there. I really love the Crafter series. I can recommend Creature Crafter and Adventure Crafter too. They're so great. :) Thanks again, Trevor :)

Fun episode! Question: How did it feel with the Location Crafter? How challenging is it to come up with ideas after a few "Expected" and "Knowns" and "Nones" in a row?. It feels as it would work better when one has a preconception of what really is Random, Known and Expected before jumping in.

I wonder if Devona will find Cherilyn in Edbert's head. I wonder if she'll be able to see HER memories. I wonder if SHE would want to defend Edbert, or perhaps release Devona. I wonder if Devona might mix their memories. Maybe let Cherilyn see her death from Edbert's POV. So much possibilities with a goddess and a powerful cleric competing in poor Edbert's head.

Lots of nasty surprises for Edbert in this episode. Loved the traps and the twist to getting out of this place alive! Getting the feeling that we are getting much closer to the Disaster Episode of the Season when this thing is unleashed on the Port! Is there something huge and lizard like trapped in the ice?! Devona is a nice twist for this season. Wasnt expecting to bump into her again. Liked the relationship between Devona, water and memories. I was thinking Edbert had to escape the Gray Mariner once Veil and co turned up and took command of the ship which is why they weren't far behind. It was only a day from Edbert on the shore to working his way onto the Drunken Ghoul. I cannot remember if Veil was onboard the Gray Mariner when Edbert was "saved" by Simon. Might have to re-watch that episode!

Devona being the patron goddess of Lizardfolk isn't even all that farfetched. Since the Lizardfolk can breathe underwater they are not negatively effected by floods and storms, so they would likely have a far different opinion on Devona than most. On top of that, The Archipelagos are practically infested with pirates who threaten the Lizardfolks lives and thus it would make sense for them to call on the great power of The Storms for aid.

Binge watching season 3 after finishing season 2 and love Trevor's energy. Which got me wondering, Trevor changed his glasses. Did he break his black ones at some point, lol? Can't wait to finish this season and see what system we have in store for season 4.

another wonderful chapter unfold to us this is amazing !!!!! i really support this show, the ice berg room is strange to me i remember the ghost that has been haunting him died in a snow mountain. and the room trying to pry his memory and what not i was like oh no.... what if the ghost come out at this moment trying to stop him as well and trying to stop him from gaining power or getting closer to his goal ?? but for sure this has been fun just to watch

Devona's clearly just misunderstood. We love an anti-colonial queen who wants peace but recognises the need for violent tumultuous struggle.

I realize that this may not be the best place to ask this question... but have you considered running a series with Whitehack... or possibly "reviewing" it? For me, and I know it's only my opinion, Whitehack 3.0 (almost identical to 2.0), is a VERY versatile system that never really seems to get the attention that it deserves.

What if that soft, silky, feminine voice inside Edbert's head isn't Devona, but Cherilyn? Just throwing that out there.

It's fun, I used to really enjoy this series but felt like the constant "threat" of random tangents leading into whole new quests was a bit distracting. Now that I've read a lot more literary fantasy (Earthsea, the Elric Chronicles, etc.) I can say it's not only a good way to keep the story moving but incredibly authentic to the genre :P

Wait, an iceberg? If the iceberg melts, the water level will not rise. This is basic physics. Well, unless we are talking about magic and stuff.

Fantasy aside, the basic physics there are only true if the two bodies are of the same density anyway (i.e. if we're not talking fresh water vs salt). So this could well be accidentally correct -- you know, the best kind!

I have to say, this is my least favorite dungeon you've done. I don't know if it's the tables or the rolls, but it just felt like it is DRAGGING... otherwise everything else in this season is awesome, so I'm still stuck in for the long haul :)
