Not quite. It's a good reason for some of it. A more significant chunk is that it's a game that actually has progress. Another good reason is the style of content; that of Solo TTRPG. TTRPG content is flooded with group content, and groups that directly interact with the audience and thus make no progress. Those same groups rely on the rule of cool quite often and destroy the pacing of their own gane even further. Frankly speaking, I rather like how this is presented. Minus the excessive camera jumping. I get it for the NPC's, but outside of that, it's honestly a little jarring. He also has a habit of forcing the narrative in his favor on rare occasions. Thankfully it doesn't negatively impact the pacing or narrative too much. The music/audio is absolutely on point as well. The addition of artwork actually does a lot as well. Not that the man isn't pretty, but it does help with the immersion of the descriptions. 😏

I agree. Also, I’d love to see an episode at some point where you (Trevor) compare your season 1 vs season 2 experiences, maybe with your thoughts of Ironsworn itself. ( Hopefully these would be less heavy on the editing for you ...Perhaps ideas for an episode or two for when the day job restricts your time, Trevor?)

There's a few things to say here: 1) That fight scene was so intense. Arne never had the upper hand and it had me squirming in my seat! 2) That menace track had me going, "oh no! Not the family! Not the family!" and 3) Digging those bracers! Tune in next week, as Trevor loses the modern shirt and dons heavy furs & leather armor, thus completing his transformation into Arne for Me, Myself & Die!

You mentioned Rolescape to help keep track of your campaign. I would like to mention another that your viewers might like (I am not affiliated with it, get no money for mentioning it, etc, I just think it's really great and the guy making it is really pouring a lot of effort into it) call The Augur. It collects everything you need (assets, moves, oracles, a dice roller, a journal and more) in one spot and he is adding new stuff on a regular basis. Again, I get nothing for mentioning it. I just find it useful as a player.

I know in the past Trevor mentioned that he was inspired to create this show by seeing what Matt Mercer is doing with Critical Role but the fact that Trevor is able to produce, edit, and record this show by himself and make it so entertaining at the same time proves to me that this show is far better than Critical Role, which has a number of people working on it directly and behind the scenes. The amount of talent and skill that's going into Me, Myself & Die is underappreciated.

I was wondering if you have any advice you can share to make these games more like a well-told story, like the ones you seem to tell here? I really want to add some of these elements to the games that I run myself. (I know we're more conflict-designers really, as you have pointed out, but would still like to enhance my games with some of these elements) Any ideas you can share would be super super appreciated.
