Realize it been awhile so you prob saw the part 2, but there was a part two posted imed after this for others who don't realize. Dunno if he's in it or not though.

Now I haven't watched baseball in a fair while, but I have to say even with-it making sense it's pretty bad that hitters are having to wear pads on their arm just to help protect them from this.

nah because you have to pitch him inside and its not easy to pitch 95+ inside - if they would be afraid they would just walk him like judge

I had no idea how often this happened. Then again I’m not a real avid baseball fan but sports injury has always interested me since in high school my anatomy teacher was also an athletic physical therapist (if that’s the right term) but the mechanism of injury in sports are usually incredibly brutal and uniquely severe. Feel bad for these players. Injuries must be especially developed because of the risk of severe injury changing their lives and ending their careers.

I don’t think some people realize how fast those balls are going- 90 - 100 mph pitches HURT. Imagine the bruises. Especially when you can hear the players grunt and the ball colliding with them

This season, J.T realmuto on the Phil’s was catching for Jeff Hoffman, dude pitched a low ball and it connected with J.T’s lateral in his ankle, no catchers gear whatsoever in the area. It looked pretty painful. He kept playing though since he’s used to being hit by his own pitchers now- Wheeler drilled him in the throat and took him out of the game about a month ago
