If they want to brawl they need to take lessons from old time hockey. Those were bench clearing brawls. No pushing and yelling just straight up fisticuffs with the refs watching til they tired themselves out.

Difference is that in hockey, you almost never get penalized. And if you do, it’s a 5 minute penalty box situation. In baseball you get suspended for multiple entire games! And if you get into one too many altercations like Yasiel Puig, you can end up kicked out the mlb.

Seems to me that instead of having to run a mile to join the "brawl" that is usually over by the time they get there, the opposing teams bullpens should just meet in the outfield and have their own brawl. Saves on the running, and fans get two lame fights to watch instead of just one. Revolutionary idea. You're welcome.

Seems like quite a few of these instances are just 2 guys jawing at each other and some hot head comes running off the bench and away we go. The sheer stupidity of the bullpens clearing and often times with both sides running along side each other to get to the “fight” is quite comical.

You can determine if alot of these pitches that hit players were intended or not by the pitch count/score/runners on base etc. You arent going to throw at a batter in a high count, if it advances a runner, or possible scores a run. You're going to hit a batter towards the end of a game so theres less chance at reprisal. Pitches at the head are not on purposes. The ones to the thigh or ass are def on purpose

There’s a simple solution but MLB will never adopt it because these “fights” get media attention. Want to end bench clearing incidents? Let them fight. Hockey style, until a player falls or disengages. It’s easy to go at it for half a second before the Calvary comes to break it up. If players knew no help is coming the fake tough guys will think twice about throwing at someone or pimping their next home run because it could literally get their block knocked off.

Dude if your going to show something some it in it's entirety seriously. Showing a hit batter charge the mound or chirp only to cut away is totally pointless. It's like showing a person hit a home run & only show up to the ball going over the fence or out of the park. Its nice & all but it's not the complete thing.
