I think Joe Buck is the only person in sports on the planet to see all of these incredible moments in sports history, and sound so disinterested and committed to putting as little effort in as possible.

After the throat issues in 2011 (can't believe he found it in himself to even be able to call that series with how horrible his vocal cords must have been bothering him), he got way better. Not that he hasn't had some memorable calls in those years in taking after his father in what lines he uses, but we got some very excited calls from him after that. And to be fair...some of these games, the final out is recorded with the game more or less decided by a lopsided score. Unless it's their first Series win ever or ending a LONG drought or the game is a tight win.

They were then rewarded by playing the best team in baseball (who they upset) then the division champs who were favored to win it all. (Upset in 6) Then Texas who had the best record in the AL and a powerhouse of a team. (Down to the last strike 3 times, down 3 runs 2 times in game 6) We beat them all when we shouldn’t have even been at the dance. That’s gotta make it the best journey to the commissioner’s trophy of the 2010’s.

I always loved the DBacks celebration after winning because it's so damn chaotic. Grown men on a veteran team just running around the field like delirious children, not knowing where to go or who to hug. I think the thing that makes that one unique is the fact that they probably thought they were going to lose just a few pitches prior, so the celebration was sudden & unexpected. Most other championship teams had a chance to digest the fact that they're probably going to win in advance, so the celebrations in those cases always feel a little forced if that makes sense.
