Many years ago I think I was around 12 or so my father scored us a couple tickets to a Reds game. We were sitting on the 3rd base line when Brett Butler for The Atlanta Braves hits a foul ball near our seats , my father grabs the glove I had brought runs down the isle dives and catches the ball,. When he lands on the contest below the ball was jarred loose an undying ruckus formed between a man and my father to which the other man called my father a " cockroach before taking the ball. This was all shown on the jumbo Tron at the stadium and Brett Butler who fouled the ball off saw it as well, after the inning was over and upon Mr. Butler returning to the field he came over and threw another ball to my father, class act.

Daniel Lopez basically it was a fair ball (in play) that people thought was foul (out of play, fair game for fans). So technically the dude interferes with the game, which is something they can kick you out for. But the guy gives the ball to a kid and the same kid and his mom rats him out! (Cause security was looking for the guy who interfered). Basically, imagine that I stole, idk, a slice of pizza and gave it to you, then as your eating, you go up to the manager and say that I stole a slice of pizza. Bad analogy ik but hopefully you get the idea.

The Code ⚾️:: first touch on a homer is one thing but possession is Everything. It happened to me and another Fan chasing down a college baseball homer,- on the Fly- outside the fence ,from left field to right center, at a local park. Some Kid picked it up as we ran up on it. The kid thought it was Our Ball. We looked at each other in awe and agreed the kid gets it⚾️ , we all held it for a moment & let the kid in on the Code and he smiled as he walked away with the Ball, back to his family picnic, - nearby- who were watching all of us. A True sportsmanship moment.

I was at a cubs game in the 90s dunston was on the team I think early or mid 90s. This was right when fans started to enter the ballpark. Found our left field bleacher seats. Not even 5 minutes later ( my sister and mom went to watch the players do batting practice. I’m with my dad. ) ( relief pitchers were tossing a ball but eventually gathered to watch) We are the only ones around in the bleachers. Here comes a man and a wife… sure… fine…. A drunk guy suddenly yelled : get off my fiancé. It was loud. The pitchers were now watching. The woman yells to the guy: not now, go home. The husband now looks at his wife and says: wait, you know him? Fiancé? The wife stands there realizing what is happening, decides to say: if I cheated on you ever, I hope something hits me. Mike piazza was doing batting practice. He hit a homer. Yup, it hit her…. The drunk guy left , the wife/fiancé looked at both. Watching 1 leave and looking at her husband. She followed the drunk guy, husband said he’s divorcing her… He sat in a seat just gazing into the sky… The husband was visibly upset, angry, hurt… the relief pitchers watching left the field, they came into the bleachers and sat with him. comforted him, took him to the dugout to meet other players on the team. And even cubs players I guess found out eventually because when he came back, he had a jersey from both teams signed by the players and the coaches, managers, even the umpires autographed both jerseys. A bad situation became a great gesture. I will never forget how in that instance, both teams had that man feel like he mattered.

@TCT Next time I say someone wins in sports with three balls bouncing off his hands will be the first. Just admit it, that's you, isn't it! Come on! Go ahead, everyone wants to know! Did you get the second date?

@TCT Do you know what a joke is? Reread the original statement and tell me where I was being so serious that you felt the need to now respond to me three different times. I don't really know who exactly you are trying to impress at the moment, but it's ok, I don't care you can't take a joke. Now run along and go bother someone else.

Surprised I wasn't on this reel. Went to a Rays game. Sitting on aisle, no one at all next section over. Foul ball hit in that section in my row. Next closest person had to be 100+ ft away. Run over to seat where ball hit, see others stop, I look and can't find ball. Flounder around for has to be 20+ seconds and finally some kid comes by, looks under row of seats, sees ball runs over and gets it. I'd say I felt stupid but except for kid, almost no one else there to laugh.

My first instinct is to look for a kid and give it to them. I was at a hockey game and puck dropped from the protection screen and landed at my feet. I picked it up a gave it to the first kid I saw. I hope it made his day.
