    I fought with this for 15 minutes before looking up your video. Of course at 8:30 you explained you just have to bring the Auxspander to the right of the mixer. Thank you Omri

    Something I discovered that was not mentioned is you can use the Poly Inserts with MindMeld’s wonderful EQMASTER module. The EQ has 8 channels built in with a track selector. I absolutely love having a dedicated channel EQ for every fader as one unit which saves a lot of CPU.

    Really nice ! I'm trying to think of what feature could be missing from this mixer... no I guess they have nearly everything covered. Clocked mode can be nice to train to mix with the ears instead of watching the vu meters, which can be misleading sometimes. Big up to the coders for building this monster !

    Great jazz improv style tracks & overview of the new mixer! One thing to note, you can't really create proper parallel fx processing with the sends this way because of the 1 sample delay introduced by each cable connection. So in the case of your parallel drum saturation processing you have a 2 sample delay between the dry and the wet signals which introduces a weird phasing effect (I could actually hear that and I found it pretty annoying, then I realised what was happening...). Of course, with delays and reverbs this doesn't matter, just with parallel distortion/compression/waveshaping etc, where the signals must line up in a sample accurate way.

    Tha for another inspiring video. Being a beginner i was using nisthy 8chan mixer without send/return, mostly because the mute button on the nisthy mixer can be easy controlled with a pad on my arturia Minilab. But now i’m growing (mostly thx to your tutorials :) ) and 8 would like to use the mastermixer. Here is the question: how to mute one channel using a midi control from my minilab? Is it possible! Or i need to mute the track using a potentiometer type control ?

  • @OmriCohen-Music

    @OmriCohen-Music

    3 жыл бұрын

    I'm happy it was helpful :) About muting the channel, on the mixer, there's a polyphonic input named M/S. You will have to use the MELD module (also from MindMeld) and if you right click it, you can select to see the channels for the Mute function. Then, you connect the output to the M/S input, and use your Midi controller in the corresponding channel on MELD. It sounds complicated, but it really isn't. You can also set the behavior of the mute function in the right click menu of the mixer so you can set it to momentary or latch (trigger/gate). Please let me know if it works for you or if you need more help with this :)

    For mute and solo there is a poly CV. Unfortunately I could not find a Poly CV for the faders. I'm not sure if there isn't one, or if I simply can't find it^^. Omri, do you maybe know if there is any way to poly control the inputs for L, R, V, P? When connecting the Midi CC-CV cables, it always becomes a huge cable mess. I wonder if it is possible to make this a little more organized by using poly signals.

  • @OmriCohen-Music

    @OmriCohen-Music

    Well, yeah, if you connect a poly signal to the first V or P input, it will spread to the rest of the channels :)

    Is there a chance to use a mono signal on inserts and get back the stereo signal? I've connected the left channel only and want to use for example Unstable. But I end up just getting the left channel signal, when I use the inserts.

  • @OmriCohen-Music

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@OmriCohen-Music no That's been the first thing I tried. But I will double check to connected both, the stereo signal to the mixer and to the effect. Maybe it's just an issue of using a mono effect. still I think it should be something like this. If I connect a mono signal to the mixer then put a mono insert back I get the same mono signal. But what I think I get is a stereo signal from the mono one and I can't use the mono insert on this one. But maybe I'm just totally doing something wrong. This is an old habbit I got from using Reason and it's SSL clone mixer
