I remember when you had your hair in dreads and I enjoyed this cute little red headed girl and her funky style. I've laughed and cried with you over the years as well. Today I watch this video and I see a GLOWING beautiful young woman - I see joy in your face as you enjoy your new home and I wish you all the luck and love in the world.

Setting aside the fact that people with money, or the "famous people", can just buy and do whatever they want, you are in a totally different league. You appeal to the main stream working class, those of us that have budgets, some of which are very limited to work within. You're keeping it real for so many of us, showing us that we can have lovely homes that are tastefully decorated in the way that it makes us happy. Don't minimize your choices based on your budget. You are down to earth, and you are like a "medicine" for some of us that perhaps have to deal with depression, pain, or even loneliness. You fill that void and give us that gentle nudge to get our homes and gardens to reflect our personalities. Thank you for being you. 💕

By putting the front legs of the sofa on the rug, you will anchor the furniture together in the space, as well as keep the rug from sliding when walking on it. Don't buy something if you don't love it unless you absolutely need it! Enjoy it! 😊

You don't need a big budget as long as you're creative, have a "good eye" and know yourself enough to know what you love. The rest is just effort and dedication to the space.

Elise, this is how most of us put together a home! On a budget with dozens of ideas. Enjoy this time. Watch thrift stores, marketplace, estate sales and when you least expect it you will find the perfect item and your budget will be ready for it. It is amazing how that works out. We don’t watch you for the stuff you buy. We watch you for your joy, your ambition, the realness of you. Keep it up!

I'm not interested in rich KZreadrs with no taste. I love the way you find beautiful second hand objects and the way you style everything together in your home.

This bench / seating window area is a great idea. You can maybe try to add, later, those cute bench cushions to make it cosier. And I think a little table in front of the wall and next to the seating window is a must, to put your coffee cup (or even a lamp). It's very satisfying to see your house taking shape and see yourself injecting your personality to make it your own.
