I used snow over underglaze painted flowers and it was beautiful but then I used it in another painted bowl and it crazed.

Was there a base glaze underneath the underglaze design?

What size needle nose are you using? Thanks

Hi there! You can get the underglaze effects at cone 10 using our Velvet Underglazes; however, our Celadon glazes are designed to go to cone 5/6 so we can't guarantee that they can hold their color and stability at cone 10. If you'd like to use them at cone 10 with this particular technique, we recommend creating a test tile with the technique first prior to applying it to a piece. Where can I purchase the newest Amaco Field Guide of Clay-Glaze-Underglaze? I haven’t seen them for sale on your website or on your distributors websites. I’m hoping you’re still selling them, I can’t download or print one from pdf. Thanks for any information you can give me.

Hi there, we don't actually sell the Field Guides but hand them out to our customers and distributors as a free resource. Because of Covid we unfortunately did not have the bandwidth issues to create a 2021 Field Guide this year but are hoping to have one for 2022. You can request a copy of the 2020 Field Guide from your local distributor and if they don't have any on hand they can request them in their next order of AMACO products. We hope this answers your question!

How many coats of clear celadon glaze needs to be done over velvet underglaze?

We apply 3 even coats; however, if you are a heavy glazer, you can get away with 2 heavy coats.

Where can i find the fan brush you used? What is it? 😊

This is on bisque ware. You can do the linear underglaze designs on greenware but this particular video showcases that design process on greenware.
