I stopped into Michael's craft store a couple of weeks ago and I found this cute sign with an X on it it was regularly $7.99 and I paid $1.99 for it. I brought it home and I wasn't quite sure what to do with it. Today I decided I wanted to do a mixed media project. I'm going to use acrylic paint mod podge, scrapbook paper, old news print and old sheet music. I'm also going to use a couple of wooden hearts and a wooden piece that looks like a fence and in the end, some keys, chain and a couple more fun objects.
I really believe that these are probably my very favorite projects. I love mixed media. It's very creative. It get your juices flowing and in the end you really never know what it's going to be like until you're finished.

This is great for painting on canvas or in art journals. I have even made these in shadowboxes. You can use any paint. also, don't forget dimensional paint is also a great medium to use. I love tutorials and I hope this one was easy and fun.
