Mitsubishi Rosa Bus Conversion Part 97 Off grid electrical system setup

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Our Mitsubishi Rosa bus conversion into a tiny off grid home continues, as I tried to explain our electrical system. To say this has been a drawn out affair is an understatement. But, like all good things it takes time. Having initially talked with the auto electrician in August 2021 we finally have a finished electrically system. See how it was done and what we used.
I am no electrician so bare that in mind when i describe our setup :-)

I have my electrical system under my dinette seats. I fitted a fan at one end and an inlet vent at the other because the space was getting warm when charging the batteries using the Victron Multiplus on mains power. It is just a computer fan in a plastic louvred mount. I put it on a switch on it because I don’t need to run it unless I am charging. I suspect I will also need it if running the A/C off the inverter for a long period or maybe on hot days day to the temperature generated by the solar chargers.

Hey Brad yes the 2 fans I have installed are controlled straight from the inverter. So when the inverter reaches a certain temperature the inverter turns on the fans. Then turns them off when it has cooled down. So that is pretty cool 😎 👌

@@TravelisSweet I looked to see if I could do that but the older Multiplus version I have doesn’t seem to support it. The Multiplus 2 was the wrong shape for the space I have :-)

    Hi Andrew. Why do you have 2 x 48V batteries and 1 x 12 V battery?

Hi Joanne the 48v batteries run all the 240v appliances and the 12v does the 12v appliances. Auto electrician said this would work well for our needs. 😊
