Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IV Rally Group A - Starts, Anti-Lag, Accelerations & More

During the 2014 and 2015 editions of the Rally Legend in San Marino I recorded a great 1997 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 4 Gr. A. driven by Piet Van Hoff and Max Jacobs. With a same car Tommi Mäkinen was able to win the 1997 World Rally Championship. The Evo 4 is moved by a 4G63T straight-4 engine which produces 300 hp at 6000rpm and 500 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm.

In my world when I see a Mitsubishi lancer evolution I say Tommi Makkinen and if it's a Subaru I will scream Collin Mcrae love you two legends yeah all you mellenials will be telling me who are they so sadd

Yes the EVO 4 was the first Group A rally MItsubishi to have sequential gearbox in 1997

This stuff is cool but it missing something that 80's and 90's rally has the drivers aren't as crazy
Can someone explain to me how "anti lag" works, what is it ?

+WorldCupRacer anti lag systems are when the back pressure from the exhaust is used the keep the turbo spooled up therefore there's no lag the downside of anti lag systems is the turbo will have be changed every 100km
My dream is to buy an Evo 4;5 or 6. I don't like the Evo we have in USA
