Hi Joe, My name is Amanda and I'm from the United States. My first car was a 1994 3000GT. My dad bought it on Ebay, and drove 2 states over to get it for me. It had 100k miles on it and a cracked windshield, but i loved it. Anyways, I'm grown now and out on my own, but my first car has been sitting in my dad's garage for coming up on 15 years now because he can't part with it. A few years ago he finally starting restoring it and recently started watching your videos. He had me sit down and watch one with him the other day. He is so grateful for all that he has learned from you and he thinks what you are doing is great - so keep going! Thank you for all your hard work.

I don't even own a 3000GT, but your excellent videos and professional explanations make me want one! I'd just need space to store it alongside my 90 300ZX TT. Screw the ludicrously priced Supra and NSX, these two are criminally underrated, even if it is a bit hard to work in their engine bays.

This video is perfect. Joe's method of actually showing the fuel set-up makes it so clear. Just installing a fuel tank and pump in my GTO. This is just gold.

You're an electronics guy by trade right? I'm sure you've had a go at repairing the climate control screens in these cars before. Now what if on the fuel sending unit the red, blue, and white cable are corroded. Is it better to replace the unit or find a way to sodder it back together. On my 94 sl it seems the original owner hotwired it so that way when the car starts the pump starts making the car idle high when in park, jult when you try to quickly accelerate, and the fuel gauge in the dash cluster doesn't work.

You didn't mention fitting an aftermarket pump like a walbro. They're shorter than stock so you can't fit them using the o ring inside the pipe, You've got to cut off the bottom of the cradle so the pump sits in the bottom of the tank, Got to cut off the bottom of the pipe it attaches to then use rubber hose to connect the pump to the outlet pipe. Otherwise you lose fuel pressure on corners with low fuel level.

I didn't mention fitting any other pump because these are restoration videos and not modification videos. Original pumps are still available.
