MITRE’s BlueTech Lab Ribbon Cutting brought together national and regional leaders on November 20, 2023. MITRE was joined by Congressman Seth Moulton, NOAA Administrator Richard W. Spinrad, and Rear Admiral John W. Mauger, Commander, First Coast Guard District among other key state and federal leaders for a panel discussion to promote and celebrate how our nation can harness the opportunity of the New Blue Economy.
The MITRE BlueTech Lab is a state-of-the-art all-weather maritime test facility and a national resource for advancing undersea testing, innovation, and collaboration. Based in Bedford, MA, it supports research, testing, and rapid prototyping in acoustic sensing, acoustic communications, unmanned underwater vehicles, maritime autonomy, and climate science research and development.
