I wonder if BNSF used that train bridge very often? At least there wasn't a train on it when it collapsed.

They run long grain hoppers to a large grain elevator in South Dakota and D&I hauls rock and gravel from Sioux falls to Sioux city

How is the fishing when the river is normal ? And what kind of fish do you normally get ? The area where your standing seems to be a nice place to fish . Im located at northern pa

2:23 That's the major reason I don't like the Big Sioux or Missouri Rivers. Waaay too much tree junk in the water either stuck in the bottom or floating just out of sight. Either way it often costs $$$.

I remember telling out-of-towners who asked before 2011 if the river ever flooded, never How things change

Not the same. Lake Oahe is about 17 feet under capacity.

@@sdsmt99 That's not good. Mountains must not had much snow this past winter. I was up there in the mid-2000s when it was shockingly low. IIRC it hadn't been that low since the dam was completed. I do remember there was a multi-year drought further west. But snow and water came back.
