I'm so glad he called back. Sometimes, kids stay silent because they're scared.

that isn't as common when lost in the woods. Abuse absolutely. We need more happy endings!

@@elizabethheyenga9277 Not true.Several years a boy scout went missing like this. They found him by accident. They asked him if he had heard them calling his name. He said Yes. When asked why he didn't respond he said "I was told never to talk to strangers!" This is why stranger Danger backfires. If kids get lost they may be too afraid to speak up because they were taught to NEVER talk to a stranger!
Whenever you and your children are in the woods, have each person wear a whistle. It can mean the difference between life and death. So grateful for this young fellows return.

Really? Thank the searchers. Why did God allow him to walk away? You see how this works....thank those that cared enough to find him.
Thank God he was found by people searching for him and not someone who would not be a nice person 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank god!🙏🙏🙏❤️ that poor baby and his family. So glad this ended well.
Angel's were with him because there are wild animals there everywhere. God was protecting him. What a happy ending because that could have been a much different situation.
A miracle indeed!
Such a nightmare for parents, so glad they found their baby!!! Thank God he was safe! 😍😍😍

Great story! Just one thing this little boy will remember for a long time! Parents too! Good old fashion happy ending!
Thank goodness 🙌
Because he has given his angels charge over us,to keep us in all our ways, they shall bear us in their hands psalm 91...thank you Jesus
Kids can be sneaky little stinkers. I'm glad he's ok and hopefully won't ever do that again.
Thank God he's been found safe and well
I can't empathize it enough... why was this child unattended long enough that no one noticed he walked away....so happy he was found safe.
Thank you to the search team! ❤❤❤
Thank God he was found.
Yes a great outcome ❤

Great job SAR!!!
That's great they found him! A little good news 🎉
Idk how he even got away, were his parents not keeping an eye on him? How does a 4 year old get 20 yards away without 1 adult noticing?

Happens a lot… I mean, you’re not going to be watch your child every second of the day, no matter where you are. If you look away for 10 seconds, they can already be far enough away that they can hide behind something (intentionally or not) and then continue on their way. After all, not all kids will respond when you call out to them, right? And if you look and can’t immediately find them, you might go to find other adults to help look-and then the kid is even further away. Certainly happens more often than is reported because there are definitely people to whom this happens however they are able to locate their child quickly/before services are called.

@@nancyfarkas3592 Of course you need to keep an eye on your children, I would never disagree with that. But it remains to be true that you can look away for a moment-that indeed you will definitely look away for a moment-and they might run off without you seeing them. Happened in Serbia recently on a rural property; parents took a picture of their daughter, turned to focus on their other child and their daughter wandered off. It was determined that within the span of less than FIVE MINUTES, this girl had wandered off, someone had accidentally ran her over in their car and then put her in their car and driven off with her to hide her body. The reality is, horrible things can happen in minutes or even seconds. But the reality is also that parents will absolutely not be able to keep their child in their line of vision 24/7. I think it’s hard to judge the parents too harshly without knowing which category they fall into; parents who truly weren’t watching their child and to whom this was almost bound to happen, or parents who are incredibly vigilant but truly happened to not pay attention for a minute. It could even be that one parent thought the other was watching or was next to the child. Mistakes happen. I’m glad this one ended well.
Missing 411 they seem to always go uphill...looks like he went uphill too.
I do not understand why people will put Air Tags in their suitcases but won't put them in their kids pockets while they camp, go to amusement parks, or other areas where it is so easy to lose your kid. Call me helicopter dad but i do it.

In the early 70's I got separated from my folks at the Bronx Zoo. When we were reunited a crowd was enjoying the feelz, but my dad took off his belt and the mood soured. But Dad hooked his belt through a single belt loop, handed me the other end and said "If you let go, I'm going to use it on you.", and I spent the rest of the day on a leash. That was my airtag.

Unless the kid has an iPhone on him, the AirTag won’t work. It relies on nearby iPhones for the Find My app to work. There are GPS beacon devices tho for a monthly service fee.
Thank God he is home
Yes whoo hooo! Ty God. Ty officials.
Good job officers and search and rescue 💪❤🎉
Glad this had a positive result. I remember when I was in elementary school a classmate lost his sister on a camping trip. He was only eight or nine at the time and walking back from the restroom with his six year old sister behind him and she disappeared. They never found her. Very sad.
Great job everyone!
Thank God!
Parents make mistakes and misunderstandings. One needed the bathroom, one was distracted, and little guy sees something he's gotta follow; butterfly, dog, you name it.

Good reporter, pesonable and interesting.
Have the child wear a whistle. They could be a hundred yards away and you might not see them. As you look, they can be moving further away. I’m sure there are other devices too. Have them understand what to do and of course, the dangers.
Thank you Jesus ❤❤❤❤❤
That’s why you get him a tracker he’s four year old put a track with ❤him. We’re on his neck.
We always dressed our kids in Red or Orange when we went camping. That was a rule
Im glad dhs stepped in
WOW God is GOOD!!🙏😇
And give kids a whistle to carry

Thank You Jesus Christ for miracles for this child ❤
I was involved in a lost (adult) climber rescue. The guy had flipped his lid, and though rescuers had gotten within a few feet of him (in the dark, in mountainous terrain), calling for him the entire time- he refused to answer. Hours later another rescuer, literally rock climbing across a cliff face at night made a positive visual ID of the guy and he could be brought back to camp. Later that night a thunderstorm rolled through like few I've seen. If he had been out in it, unsheltered and bonkers would have been a complete catastrophe. This kid had more sense than that guy.

😮 thank god he was found,ya just have to keep your eyes on kids so closely especially under five years old no matter where you take them ,he looked very scared
Strange!! How the hell do you loss your 4year old? 4 years old!! Think about it, shouldnt your 4year old always be by your side at all time?? This was set up, aint no way you wouldnt notice in a split sec knowing your child would be missing from thr crowd smh
Thats some great parenting
Did the boy say anything about a big furry creature helping him?
Poor little kid! You can tell he’s traumatized. You simply cannot turn your back on little children like that. Put a damn AirTag on them
Watch your kids, not your phones.

Watch your kid they don’t realize how much it cost to put these teams together to find your kid. They should be fined or pay the rescue team themselves.

Not to be callous but this is a stupid idea. This would mean some people wouldn’t call emergency/rescue services as early as they should. This would not only increase the chance of the child dying, it would also mean that the child will likely end up further away and the rescue team will require more time and resources (i.e. money) to locate the missing.
How will this change him years from now ? 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩
Something doesn’t make sense: His tshirt was clean when they showed him being carried down the trail by the rescue crew. If he stayed out there overnight, he would have certainly been really dirty from sleeping on the ground. Are they absolutely certain it wasn’t a kidnap and return situation?

Happy for the family and the boy being found, but I and others also amazed on how the boy survived the night … It was very cold there. I was Wearing a thermal long sleeve and a jacket and long pants and Sox inside the tent wrap up in a sleeping bag and I felt cold.. could barely walk to the bathroom at 6 am… not being negative because after all the boy is safe and back with his family, but something doesn’t add up …
So it's the parents fault 😊
That just goes to show you that people don't watch their children
Even the person talking to the camera was like if you have small children you have to watch them constantly!!. Yupp that goes for the 4 year old parent's.. lesson to be learned mfs
