I actually agree with you regarding Miss Philippines evening gown. I heard that she was supposed to wear the red carpet dress but had a dress malfunction. Nonetheless, it was a good placement.

First off, I love you both and i loved following you guys while you were in the Phillipines! I agree with almost everything you ladies brought up. I loved Venezuela, Iceland, and Nicaragua and I was surprised they were left out. I think they should have a top 20 again. Love my home girl Canada🇨🇦, Sierra, but I agree that be evening gown just wasn't good enough, her gown from Miss Supranational would have been better suited. I wish she had a chance to speak though because that's where she shines. So sad for Deshauna, you could tell she wanted it and worked so hard but I think the colour of her gown didn't pop enough. Also I'm heartbroken that Brazil didn't make it further, I was so shocked because she killed it! I thought for sure she was going to make it to top 3. I'm obsessed with our new Miss Universe though, she seems so sweet and personable and she was by far the most consistent contestant throughout the entire competition. Very well deserved win! I didn't like Flo Rida, Steve Harvey, the mismatched dresses/swim suits, the 3 girls at a time, or the lack of Filipino culture in the staging! also the announcement of the top 13 is wayyyyyy too long. I think they should either talk to them or just show their video, not both! That's my two cents! Love watching your videos Nia!

Totally agreed with Nia! I thought that the Top 3 was going to be France, Colombia, and Thailand. I agree with everything you both were saying! :)

I love you two so much, you guys are the sweetest girls ever. And I agree with everything you say. My favorite was Colombia (even though being a programming and computer science student I am obsessed with women in science like Haiti(WOAH) and France being a dental surgeon, and EVEN THOUGH IM FROM EUROPE) , but I've followed Andrea even before she was Miss Colombia, while she was Miss Choco, and literally she's just so energetic and authentic and infectuous with her personality and I wanted her to win so bad cause I wanted to follow her on a global scale, but I was loving the top 3 and all 3 would've been perfect Miss Universes and Iris is killing the game at the media week already, I love her, I speak French so it's exciting for me to see all the miss universe posts in French and hear her accent. Loved this years pageant and the results, but next up USA!!! Can't wait!! :)

I'm tired of the same girls from the same country every year who make the cut....for that reason I was supporting Panama, Kenya and of course the beautiful and smart Miss Haiti...There are so many beautiful and confidents girls all around the world, why always the same countrys??... I love our new Miss Universo anyway💘 the only one I didn't like was Canada, there were other girls more deserving.

natyvas17 Well remember that being Miss Universe is actually a job, so you've got to be prepared to take on the responsibility that it comes with it, and the reason why the same countries always place it's just because of that, those girls give their best for months to be in Miss Universe, so I think they place because they deserve it. Rom An sorry, I'm not agree with you... just an example and it's not personal, just an example: my candidate didn't make the cut. why do you suppose that she worked less harder than the other girls??? she even asked for money because she didn't have the support of our country to go to Miss Universe...she worked by her own to be there and she prepared herself eating healthy food, exercising, learning how to talk in public, as well as many other girls that I'm sure were deserving...but I just see that the favorites are the same ones, just because they are from Venezuela, Philippines, Australia, Brazil, France, Indonesia, Thailand, Usa, Colombia, Mexico, etc...I was glad to see Peru, Panama, Haiti, Kenya at least. well it's just my opinion.. 🤗

natyvas17 Countries like France, Colombia, USA and Philippines deserve to make it due to the amazing work they put in. Each rep trains and grooms for Miss Universe for a year in advance. Other countries need to step up their game, and many are. But no one should be handed a crown for pity points because their country doesn't place often. Put in the work and you can go far

Haiti was the best of the top 3... but France is like a doll and she has a commercial face...at the end Miss Universe is a business, that's why she won 🤗

I agree I enjoyed the three at a time in prelims but not in finals! They've worked too hard to share the stage at that point!! Also I was OBSESSED with Thailand!! I was shocked she wasn't in top 3!!

Mae Eilaine daenerys hi! Maxine was not really going to wear the one she wore at the red carpet. that was made by a different designer from the one that was previously announced she would wear in the finals.

I was entertained by both of you. I am a big fan of Miss Universe Pageant ... I thought it was a tough year selecting the one woman because there were so many qualified candidates in the competition. I was thrilled to see France win ... I hope the next Miss Universe will be held in France. I don't like the top three ... I live the top 5 ... it gives more countries bragging rights. My wish list - I wished Mexico in the top 3 ... Turkey, Great Britain and Venezuela in the top 13. We all have different favorites and all the young women were great. France is a beautiful bright woman that will do a great job as Miss Universe. Glad to see the both of you doing this. Nia Sanchez, you're still my favorite Latina from Sacramento, California.

Another factor that contributed to Maxine's unsatisfactory answer was because the interpreter confused her. He translated the word change (pagbabago) to event (pangyayari). Plus the pressure especially from Filipinos... we really couldn't blame her.

may2663 i strongly agree...i kinda felt the huge pressure on maxines shoulders...the responsibilities as a host plus a very demanding Filipinos...i kinda picture maxine being so confused on peoples demmand...the girl is rattled. i disagree with people who call her "not smart" 1st of all top 13 is determined by the prelims which is 60percent on the interviews and 40 percent on the performance....she made it to top13 and so she did well on the interviews...i hate that people nowadays are too judgemental.

Btw, y'all did a great job. Some suggestions though. When you say the country's name. You should put the picture of the candidate (the right pictures) on the side because not a lot of people will remember how the girls would look like and the dresses, swimsuit. You also need to talk about the judges because this year the judges were like from different countries not just from USA just like during MISS UNIVERSE 2015. I love it though, because the judges have different standards of beauty, not just American base like last year! And this time they have 6 or 7 judges not just 4 like last year!

For Chai Tea Tuesday's I would love to hear your advice on a season of waiting, perhaps a time in your life when you just didn't care about the same old relationships, same type of guys and patterns. So you put love on "pause" and what that time was like for you. Especially being someone of strong faith 💕

I COMPLETELY agree with the top 6 questions being unfair. I felt SO bad for Kenya having to answer that question about Donald Trump. I don't think it was fair at all for someone to have to respond to that who isn't from the United States. Considering the circumstances though, i think she answered it the best she could.

i agree with you guys on the evening gown of PH. it was those gowns that thay did not want to leak before the finals night as if she'd be wearing a haute couture, and then home girl came out in EG and we were like... What!!!! That's it?????? so sad :-( :-(

I am totally with you on the US related questions, when I heard the question about Trump to miss Kenya, I ask myself why did they give a so controversial question to a foreigner , that might be relevant in miss USA or miss Mexico case even perhaps miss England but not to anyone else representative. And when it was the time for Miss France answer, I was so relieved that she knew enough to understand the question in english because the translator was really really bad. I am french and I didn't understand what he said in "french", from his accent I would say that he was canadian but from the english speaking part of Canada. He was a lot easier to understand in english than in french. Do you know how he was found? And where he came from? Because clearly his vocabulary was lacking. I've heard there was the same issue with other languages translators: it might explains some awkwards answers during the first question serie. If the questions weren't correctly translated the answers will probably be off.

This may be late but the gown that maxine used in the red carpet she was gonna use that as her gown in the finals but the zipper broke thats why she used that last muinite gown

I love your example of a blooper answer was "Such as",in the Philippines, we have both Janina San Miguel anc Jeannie Henderson, they are considered to have the most awkward/saddest (not dead sad but in a "you're just sad"sad ) answer in pageant history, because of the pressure...

I actually liked Thailand's answer was wonderful as referencing the King of Thailand, as he was the most influential person in the past decade.....personally she was top 3 worthy

I feel like the last two Haiti and France were perfect Haiti was absolutely beautiful everyone says she looks like Jennifer Lopez her body is slamming she's smart humble and confident, she only had 3 supporters at the finals but then had a stadium of cheers. I watched a few interviews with her she has a great story being in a coma for 21 days she spoke very well of Miss France and she got along with the girls well. Philippines CNN interviewed her they love her especially because she has Philippines roots.

I was quite disappointed that there was no candidate in the top 6 from North America. I agree, I was disappointed with Canada's dress but she did own her walk and everything else.

Both of Miss France's gowns are designed by a Vietnamese designer who is living in Vietnam. She had a lot of choices but it was wise of her to opt for both gowns from one designer!

According to the Pageant site here in the Philippines, her finals gown is the red gown made by Veric she wore in the red carpet but the zipper broke.

Miss Philippines Finals gown wasnt supposed to be the one she wore that night. The gown that shes supposed to wear is posted by her designer, long sleeves and its a green one. Filipino fans is actually talking about it on instagram because its far better than the red gown.

The last Miss Universe from Europe was back in 1990. Norway was the last country. Now some people will say Russia back in 2002 but she resigned.
