Thank you for addressing the "30 hours at the gym" fun fact! I remember hearing the announcer say that on stage and feeling slightly insecure about the number of hours I workout. Luckily I quickly snapped myself out of it and realized how crazy that is! You two are such great inspirations, thank you for being such incredible Miss USA's!

Thank you for your comment. And yeah, the most I typically spend at the gym personally is 5-7 hours max a week! And when I was preparing for Miss USA, My max was 14 hrs. 1 in the morning and one at night

Yea I agree with the uniformity! I like when the opening number dresses are uniform and also swimsuit, it does look more pleasing to the eye! Loved this video😊❤

Allen Henry this year's pageant was more casual. Some rule changes and stronger qualifications.. but YES!! I hated that part which they had to say their favorites.

I definitely agree with you guys on the swimsuit and opening dresses! I loved 2015 opening dresses and 2014 Swimsuits the color reminded me a lot of Victoria Secret. I also have to agree with Nia on Steve Harvey asking the judges who they're favorites were because I felt sad and awkward about the other contestants hearing what the judges were saying. But anyways, so glad to see you guys make this video for us and hopefully in the future you'll have a channel together??🤔

There was a rumor, the reason why Miss Venezuela was not in top 13 because of her attitude problem. Miss Venezuela was strong in prelims. There must be something why she was not in top 13.

Joey Padilla I wouldn't be surprised if there was a mystery judge to this similar to last year in which every candidate was a collective judge that had to vote their favorite and least favorite by survey.

I agree....the contestant can only attest who were a good hearted one without the judges scoring their personalities. I assumed, the girls voted out Miss Venezuela because of bad attitude. I have seen the videos how she treated Miss Peru during Miss Peru's FB live, Miss Venezuela pulling Miss Philippines towards her maybe because she don't like Miss Indonesia during the award night n Davao, and when they were on line during Governor's Ball dinner. Miss Kenya was a surprised for me being in Top 13. I am thinking it must be the girls chooses her to be in top 13 with anonymous voting.

great recap, I gree with you Olivia on your comments about the swimsuits, I also like that you agree with Canada being in the top 13 and I would love to see more women like that that I find so beautiful, in fact Miss Italy contest already embrace curvy women and they had several of them including the first runner-up to the current Miss Italy. I didn't know that You, Olivia, didn't like your swimsuit but you rocked!!!! I personally prefer uniforms swimsuit, cause they are more beautiful on stage (I bought both the Yamamay swimsuits you two wore at MU 2014 & 2015 😂) . I was shocked too for Venezuela, I tough she was a strong contender. Colombia was amazing, I saw so much personality in her and France was so fierce 🔥. And I really didn't like the top 13, there were so many beautiful girls that deserved a spot

I liked how you liked Miss Canada's performance, if that makes sense. A lot of reaction and reviews here on youtube aren't very much accepting of Canada entering the top 13 until the 9th. Some speculated that the casual interview played a vital role in determining the top 9 just like the previous editions of MU, that's why Brazil, Panama, and Indo didn't make it. Do you think that they should bring back the old format completely?

so so true about the uniformity about the swim suit.. it instantly grabbed my attention that miss Philippines has got better cut especially the lower piece compared to the other couple of girls who wore almost similar looking ones. although the yellow swimsuit that USA, Thailand, Colombia and Haiti (little diff) wore were pretty but almost ten thousand of them were wearing them making it so basic on the stage!

Uniform in swimsuits and uniform in the introduction is what I prefer. Wish they would bring back the introduction wearing their national costume. What happened to miss photogenic, miss congeniality??? And wish they would bring back the little sisters during the evening gown. I miss the song "you are my star". This is great! I agree with u two regarding the uniform dress and swimsuit. Specially with the swimsuit, thats where the competition really is. But one thing in particular i didnt like is the part where three girls parade at the same time during swimsuit and evening gown competition. I felt that the girls were judged to quick and not given enough time to show how confident and beautiful they are.. i love the initial interview after they are called for the top 13. Judges can initially marked each girl immediately. Like in the case of Miss Kenya ... wow she blew me away immediately. And I felt the question regarding Donald Trump is definitely out of context. And anyone specially Miss USA should never get that question. After the national costume parade, when I saw France with the Moulin Rouge costume, instantly she became my top 1 to win the pageant. And I was so right and I am so happy for her. All in all the pageant was a success ...

my favorite swimsuit model was Miss Mexico Kristal Silva, nice body and her walk was very confidently beautiful 💖

I agree with opening number being uniform, and I miss the girls introducing themselves! It really showed the girls enthusiasm and I loved hearing all the different accents and languages of the world.

I really like your reviews :) I would like to point out that the name of new miss universe is not pronounced like "Airis". Both " i " sound the same, like in "eat" and "eagle" :)

Thank you!! I do believe that names are pronounced different in different countries. for example, my dads name is David. But we go to Germany, our family there says if completely different. hehe. Once I get a chance to talk to her, I'll ask what she prefers. And I'm sure I'll end up saying it the way its pronounced in her country! hehe

I don't like how the intro dresses were not uniform; They should have stuck with the cocktail dresses, they look nicer. I also dislike the different swimsuits. I like when all the girls wear the same solid style and just like 2 or 3 color choices. Some Girls were absolutely not wearing cuts that were flattering and the crazy patterns were distracting.

about Miss Canada, i think i agree with former Miss Canada (Natalie) statement about her, she said that "While her message of body confidence is a very important one to young women, what I think is even more important to tell the younger generation is that if you settle for what you have and don’t work to improve yourself, it can only get you so far, but with a bit more perseverance and determination, you can go all the way to the top! The new generation is at a risk of feeling entitled and spoiled by getting ribbons for participation and trophies for coming in last, so if we don’t teach them that it takes hard work, sacrifice, discipline, setting goals, and never settling for less, we stand to have very unsatisfied and unfulfilled generation of young people, who never truly get to live their dream."

Interesting point of view. I don't disagree with it. But I still believe that we need to embrace more that just 1 or 2 body sizes. =)

I hate how they walk in groups and how some judges revealed their favorites after the SS competition

the different suits I agree is a problem. I think that having the same color would be a great but different body types need different cuts. I think they should have a choice in cut.

Nelsonhmhpub to be quite sincere no lol. Olivia demonstrated amazing personality and Nia’s dress and hair killed the game. Iris’s year Philippines, USA, and Kenya made it too far in my opinion but see we all have different opinions. Theres no need to be rude about it.

YES, UNIFORM. Just for how it looks on stage, and I think it makes it easier for the girls. So yes, Uniforms.

I agree with both of you with the dress being more uniform it more visually attractive. I love when there one swimsuit colour or two or three. Maybe do the yellow,red and magenta would be good visually.I agree about not asking who your favourite it kinda giving it away who going to be in the top 9.Wasn't a fan of it at all.

You were so right. I think this MU was hypocrite and not fair at all. If fluent English is not a request why did they put the non-English speakers in a so awkward situation by asking them in English at the beginning of the competition without a translator, expecting they could communicate in English as well as they would in their mother language? That's prejudicial. For me it was like they wanted to get rid of the strong non-English speakers contestants.

I'm not sure if they were trying to get rid of non english speakers. So many women have won in the past that dont speak english. And the girls all have access to translators backstage, so reallllyyyy they all could have known what to do

Nia Sanchez What they did to the Miss Brazil for example was disrespectful. I know they rehearsed that part, but it's not the same. Raíssa is a very communicated girl, very charismatic, with a great story to tell too, but nobody got to know because she got confused when the host asked her in English at the beginning and she couldn't remember the words in English and got nervous. I think Brazil should stop sending gorgeous girls to MU. What for? In the end the one with the right political speech takes their place. Raíssa was a great contestant. Despite her hard poor childhood she is a fast learner and communicative girl and she could learn what is necessary. Didn't they want beauty with substance? Well, Raíssa had that and couldn't make it even to the Top 9!! I could understand not winning, but not making it to the Top 9 with that face, that body and that personality??? I think MU will continue ignoring Brazil, no matter who we send.

Maybe it was the swimsuit hehehe love you girls ;) also I AM SOOOO FOR UNIFORM IT LOOKS SO MUCH BETTERRRR
