Miss Philippines character are very lovely

If you listen to Helen O'Connell at the end, she shared which country had the most MU wins at that time and the last time USA won. She was preparing the TV audience or USA's victory. This was the last pageant Helen hosted. She and June Lockhart were the best.

I like the pointing system then very transparent. And also a big hurray to Chat Silayan she's stunning RIP our queen.

Miss USA of that year is one of the most beautiful Miss Universe winners in history! That angel face, wow!

Miss New Zealand was the most natural and she spoke without hesitation or pause

2nd runner up was too low for her tbh, she definitely could of beaten Scotland. Even USA. Top 2 could be NZ and PH, but USA was a correct choice to win. Shawn was all you could ask for

@@SpedUpSongs2007 NZ was definitely better than Scotland. Scotland had poor speaking skills and looked petrified every time she spoke. Miss Philippines gave the worst answer of all and Miss USA was just okay. NZ spoke so well and was the most elegant of the finalists. She deserved the crown or at least First Runner-up.

I don't like this style of the final question. The only fair way to gauge the answer is to have the contestants in The isolation booth and ask them the same question.

Yes, I never knew why pageant officials kept changing the final five finalists' format. Some years, there was no question.

My choices of the finalist were the following: Philippines Puerto Rico Colombia Korea USA

The question of Miss USA "what would you tell someone,why you wpuld like to become miss Unvers?"Actually she did not answer the Question..among these beautiful faces its MISS PHILIPIINES got the Direct Correct Answer,her answer has a weight,with.sense。

USA and Scotland answered the best and most authentic. Philippines didn't answer the question at all, just pick someone to meet - she had the easiest question and blew it.

Agree with PH up there as well. Panama, PR and Colombia were also great choices as well. NZ was the best choice overall but USA is also well spoken

Why so? The first-runner up in 1975 was a black woman from Haiti, as well as Miss Universe winner 1977, black and gorgeous, from Trinidad & Tobago. Philippines had already been winners by then twice, and Peru, Colombia and Venezuela had already won a MU crown each. I don't see the racism there!
