@@TheMostAriel before opening the plastic bag, I dropped it in for a test fit - it was too thick to clear my intake. I'm returning it and waiting on a koyorad that I know fits.

Unfortunately my fans hit the front trans/motor mounts after I installed this radiator. You didn’t have to shave anything in particular right?

Yo ariel. Any space difference w the mishimoto vs factory?

It’s thicker but fits in factory location. I’m going to trim / grind some areas around it for better fitment but it’s probably just my obsessive compulsion.

Does your stock intake box fits flawlessly it does the bottom of it gets blocked by the coolant return line of the radiator? I'm asking because I have a mishimoto clone in my Celica gts for many years and nothing works properly around it. The fan going to the AC got unplugged because the transmission mount is sitting in the fan blade, preventing it from spinning. The stock Toyota box got its bottom side carved out so I can fit it properly and have the hood close. To this day, it still wobbles. The ECU tubing that mounts from the radiator fan fits with a stock box but the moment I get a CAI in there, I have to remove it completely.

I don’t have a stock air box to test with. I had no major issues with the Mishimoto. Stock fan shroud fits fine on it.

So question... what did you do with the middle metal bracket that mounts over the fan shroud and holds the reservoir? With the mishimoto, the radiator forces the shroud out and the bracket no longer fits with stock fans shroud.

i am wondering same question. it looks like a spacer or a few washers could be installed to shim out the bottom mounting point, but i haven't replaced my factory radiator yet.

When I was looking for a car to buy one year and half ago I tried to get a last generation Toyota Celica but........ In my country I could only find a few for sale, and too much money was being asked for the milage they had (about 150 quilometers or more). So I ended buying a 2008 honda civic.

For my first car I wanted an Eclipse GSX 2nd gen but ended up with a 91 Celica ST 1.6litre. As long as you have a canvas to learn on you can always find a Celica later down when prices drop or whatever car you like at that time.

I’m about to change my radiator. I had my engine swap and know the car is overheating… when it drives up hills I don’t know if I should go OEM or aftermarket. I have already a after market intake and I thing I have enough space for it to fit. What do you suggest

They should play together nicely either way. I would check the thermostat first if it’s over heating. Wouldn’t hurt to replace that and maybe the hoses while you are at it.

I think you would need to get a cooler but I’m not sure. It may be overkill for a mostly stock car but I’m just future proofing at this point.

Color doesnt matter as much as the chemical content. OEM toyota is pinkish purple. The color is just a dye added by the makers of the fluid. Just make sure the ingredients are compatible with your engine.
