Mirrorless vs DSLR, and why I finally got one after 20 years of using DSLRs

Ғылым және технология

I want to share why, as a long-time DSLR enthusiast, I've been hesitant to switch to a mirrorless camera. For me, the heart of the matter is my deep appreciation for the analog viewfinder. There's something genuinely satisfying about the direct optical path from the scene through my lens to my eye-it feels raw and unfiltered. This tactile, immediate connection to my surroundings is something I really cherish in my photography experience. I'm not ready to trade that for the electronic viewfinders in mirrorless cameras, which, despite their technological advantages, just don't deliver the same visceral experience. So, stick around as I dive deeper into why I was hesitant to get into a mirrorless camera, and why I genuinely like them, too!

Only thing for me that's better in DSLR's is viewfinder, but popup flash? I either use off camera flash or I shoot natural since ISO performance today is so good with cameras, maybe it's just me but I just don't like on camera flash look that much. But all people prefer it different, for one I still like my old A7 MK1 even though people called it shit camera overall XD Today I have also MKIII version, but I still come back to MK1.

I used the pop-up flash rarely, but it was just enough to appreciate it and not have to get my speed light out or when I didn't have the flash. Flash gives nice fill light or just enough to make portraits have more life to them.
